Drug Companies Join NIH in Study of Alzheimer's, Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus
Article is saying a bunch of things and making simple point regarding consortium of (bought and paid for) scientists coming together to tackle conditions noted in title.
First condition mentioned is one that if you google "Alzheimer's Disease AND nicotine" you'll find research that suggests nicotine (patches) can slow the progress of the disease. Thus, my hyper sensitive ecig mind was thinking this could be one big move to a) plant even more firmly in the minds of Americans that BP has the best method for treatment and b) assist the boys over at FDA in getting rid of that new gimmick whereby people would dare to vape nicotine instead.
Yeah, I realize it's a bit paranoid, but also think there's some truth to it.
My other thought was that this consortium of scientists, where private industry and government areconspiring working together, is the second, or third sign of the zombie apocalypse.
