Brand new atty, immediate burnt taste, is this normal?

So I just received 2 new 510 attys.

Went straight to work, opened up the one, dripped about 4 drops and started vaping. An extreme burnt taste right from the word go.

Tried blowing in more juice, but nothing seems to help, the atty just appears to have a resounding burnt taste.

What can I do from this point on to get rid of the burnt taste? (if anything).

I never came across new atty having burnt taste. My guesses are:
1. Wick is still dry.
2. Atty is primed with oil in factory.
3. Cartridge is still dry.

You could try washing the atty.

There is probably still primer in the atty and that is causing the bad taste. Try blowing them out and them priming them with a couple of drops of plain VG if you have some. If not, just blow them out real well and prime with 3-4 drops of your juice. The burnt taste will go away once all the machine oil is gone.

After cleaning it out with ISO and Water it was good for an hour or so, now the burnt taste is back.

I did mention I bought 2 atties. The other one worked perfectly well right off the bat, and is still working.

I've owned less than 10 atties, and my current stats are no DOAs, but 2 of them haven't worked well from the start. Another one worked well for 1 day.

The trend I'm stopping is that you can almost tell forsure if you got a good atty right from the first vape, or you can tell if its going to be a problem maker.

Reminds me of the sorting hat from harry potter. I got one Griffondorr and another Slitherine.

I have had this exact same issue. Never did get that atty to taste right. I ended up tossing it and getting a new one. Sorry!
