Brand new e cig producing very little or no vapor. Please help!

Hello,
I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered somewhere, but I didn't see it.

So I just got my first e cigarette in the mail yesterday. The brand is Altimoff (wishing now I would have done a bit more research in brands, but here we are). I charged it over the full 8 hours recommended for the first charge. I'm fairly certain I put it together properly. I popped the atomizer into the nicotine cartridge and then screwed the atomizer to the battery. I have tried as many ways of to puff on it as I can think of to try and produce vapor, watched you-tube videos. It seems like I am doing everything right, but I only get a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of vapor, or none at all.

I have come to the conclusion that either the product is sub-par, or the atomizer has been damaged somehow. Anyone else have any problems/experience/thoughts on this?
Thanks!

I am not familiar with that brand. You could try contacting the vendor you bought it from. Perhaps they may have some specific advice for that model. They may also help to determine if the product is defective. Hope this helps and hopefully someone will come along who is familiar with your model and could give more specific advice.

Ok so I tried blowing out the atomizer but it still did not work. I also tried changing to a different cartridge but no luck there either. Durn!

well lets see then...lol. do you have any of the liquid, if so try to drop like 2 or 3 drops directly into the atty, then put your cart on and give it a shot...theres a possiblility that your carts are not wicking properly or fast enough, also try taking at least a 3 second drag off of it i.g. 1one thousand 2...ect.

I can hear something when i puff, though I am having trouble deciding whether it is a "sizzle" or a "hiss."

I have tried the primer puff, and the long slow draw. I have tried this many times now.

I don't have any liquid, other than what is in the cartridges. I will try squeezing some of that out onto the atty.

Thanks!

If it is an automatic battery (there's no button to press) then you don't want to drip liquid on the atty. It could kill the battery!

Hopefully the company will get back to you soon. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you. I'm not trying to step on any toes, but I just thought I would bring to your attention this eGo kit at liberty-flights.com.

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo

(make sure to click the 20% off icon on the top left of the page)
its a complete 2 cig kit(2 batteries, 2 attys, 2 cones 5 carts and charger) with the fat 650 mah ego batts for $39.99 (with the 20% off). Many people here at ECF have had a lot of success with eGos, including myself. These are manual batteries which may not appeal to you, but they are sealed so no worries if you want to try dripping.

It looks like your kit uses a 306 style atomizer. If so a 306 atty will work on 510 threads (which is what the ego uses) but 306 carts cannot be used on 510 attys.

1. Auto batteries often need you to take a short fake drag (to start warming the atty) then take your real drag.

2. Sometimes prefilled carts may have problems like not much liquid, evaporated some, settled to the bottle of the juice cup, etc. You could try, with the assembled e-cig, give it a short hard single shake toward the led end (to try to get the cart's juice more to the top of the cart).

3. The cart stuffing may have slipped inside the cart. Or possibly something else - did the cart have foil or cellophane on the open end or a plug? If it had foil or cellophane on the open end, I think removing that is better than piercing it with the atty.

4. If you have ejuice in a bottle... If it's the kind of cart that fits over the atty then the juice/stuffing cup is probably recessed. If you are willing to experiment, take off the cart. Unbend part of a small paperclip and push it in the mouth-hole of the cart and see if you can push the inner juice cup up to where you can see it. Add a bit of juice if needed (and if you have some). Then using the unbent paperclip, make sure the cart stuffing is positioned near the top of the juice cup. Try to slide the juice cup back in by pressing only on the edge of the juice cup (i.e. don't poke the stuffing back down further into the juice cup or the atty won't reach it). Note - if your cart came with a silicone plug sealing it, the plug may be good for pushing the juice cart back in. Now insert the atty and try the e-cig again.

5. Make the company take it back and buy something better which will probably cost less. If you are a light or moderate smoker, check out the 510, 901, and KR808D-1 (this one is a cartomizer unit). If you are a heavier smoker or need long battery charge life, check out their fat battery versions the Ego (510), Riva (510 or 901), Elegant Easy (KR808D-1). And BTW - what you have is probably a king cigarette-size super-mini and super-minis satisfy few people - the hit is weaker, the carts are smaller, the battery life is shorter. Some ultralights smokers can get by with a super-mini.

well man i think im outta ideas unless you want to try and clean your atty but blowing it out should have helped your situation, as soon as they company gets back to you ask for a replacement or think about getting a different type PV. if you like that its small and looks like a cig then you can look at a dse 901, or a joye 510, there a little bigger then yours but are much more consistant and theres lots of options for both, its not a 306 model so dont try and get a 510 thinking that it would work, hope you are able to get this figured out, best of luck to you!-) have a great day

I saw the exposed bridge and it made me think it was a 306, but on closer inspection it looks like the threads are on the battery at not the atomizer, so I would agree that this is not a 306 model. Sorry if I was confusing.
