Brand new guy with a couple questions (ego)

So I finally got to try one of the cartos I had filled yesterday but the results weren't great.
I did exactly what Deback suggested but they don't seem to produce any vapor compared to my regular modded carts.
Are cartos just not for me? Should I just stick with my carts for now?

When cartos are filled with the right amount, it can take a few primer drags (like 3 to 6 drags) before you'll get much vapor. Also, like LowThudd said, if you overfill a carto, it will take a while before you'll get much vapor, because you have to vape long enough to burn out the excess liquid. The inside of a carto needs to be able to breathe (needs air) to work properly.

What mixture did you put into the carto? And what percentage of VG?

I also received some DIY stuff today. And I can say that I get it now. I understand what all the excitement is about around here. This afternoon I mixed up some RY4 a little heavy on flavoring, 80%PG/20%VG, and 18mg nic and OMG it's amazing. I think the juices from my original order just aren't appealing to me. This flavor is absolutely amazing. And it's just the first of many flavors that I received today!

I ordered the flavor from FSUSA. I also just tried another flavor of theirs called 'Shade Condensed Tobacco' flavor. It is also really good. Weird how much of a different experience it is going from one company's flavor to the next.
Before I got today's shipment everything was kinda meh. Now I'm very excited about it.

Ah, ok. I thought you were doing it yourself (liquids, that is). FSUSA's RY4 is my favorite and the one I use all the time. I just feel fortunate that I (IMHO) found the best supplier and the best liquid (for me, that is) in my first month of vaping...actually, after my first week. I have no desire to keep buying liquids from other suppliers. Been there, done that, and didn't like any of the liquids I ordered from any of them (less flavor, less or no throat hits, just a waste of money). It's FSUSA for me from now on. They have absolutely the best flavor of any of the four suppliers I've tried.

I heard the French Toast is good, so I'm sure I'll probably try other flavors now and then, but for now, I'm satisfied with RY4, mixed with apple, caramel, nut mix, (all from FSUSA) and Glycerin. Yea, I love caramel apples!

I ordered my nic juice 75%PG/25%VG
The throat hit has been a little too much for me so I'm trying to cut down the PG and add VG.
Obviously I get that I can just cut it down with some VG which I have been doing. Is there an easy way to get an actual percentages of the final product though? I'm no mathematician so I'm looking for maybe a calculator similar to the juice calcs but maybe a bit more in depth. Or maybe even just the formula to figure it out.

Goodprophets.com has some great VG juice, they are my main supplier. Their RY4 VG is one of my favs. Also the Pear, Black Currant, cola and 555 for when I wan't a cig tasting liquid.

Yeah my next order I will probably do without the PG all together. I have a bottle of pure PG to maybe add a dash. I like a little TH but not like what I'm getting with this mixture. The taste is RIGHT ON, though.

DONT USE LR ATTYS on your ego. it is going to fry your batts...... lots of threads out there that say it. and its happend to me several times by i relized the problem...........

@lrd3 - I haven't used an LR atty. I bought one but never tried it. I've had enough problems with the cartos to throw something else into the mix.

VG based juice, ready to go flavored and nic loaded. lol And, IMO, you aren't missing much w/ the LR attys. I never liked em. You could probably swap it in the classifieds or PIF.

You can use the protective cart as a drip tip, but I only do that when trying new flavors. You will need to buy some eGo mega cyl(Type B) carts to go w/ it. For me, they work very well. You can't chain vape them dry, but holding 2.5mls you don't need to.

2 days ago I would've already just placed the order to find out for myself. But I ordered so many goodies in the past few days (aside from my hardware) that I figure I'll try my best to research everything.
I ended up with my cartomizers that I just can't get the hang of and an LR atty that I still haven't tried. I'd like to eliminate as much of that in the future as I can.

It is just plain BIGGER. The bridge and coil are both bigger, the cart is bigger, the vapor bigger etc. It is not LR, mine range from between 2.4-3.3ohms Not sure why the varience, just know it's there. And yes, the carts listed fit the atty you listed.

If you aren't sure, read some reviews in the eGo model specific forum or the eGo users group. eGo User's Group eGo Type Models
