Any tips would be appreciated. I'm using(as I hope you can see) a Caravela mod with a Helios clone rda. my first wrap is a dual coil, which reads at .46 ohms. I'm using Sony vtc 30amp batteries(the green ones).

The cap comes off of the rda base really easily…is this normal? I mean, REALLY easy. Is there any way to get it to stay on better?

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice

Welcome! Have been wanting to try a Helios for some time. How's the performance?

Try taking out the o-rings, wrapping dental floss in the grooves, then putting the o-rings back on. Should help out a bit. If it's still not tight enough, repeat the process.

Also try any home improvement store, should have tons of different sizes of o-rings!

Hey Matt, .46 is gonna give u a Hot vape. If ur wanting clouds the higher the vg to pg ratio is the thicker ur clouds will be. Pg also in a dripper IMO gives a punch to the throat. Make sure u Lower ur nic strength as well. Remember ur making 2-3 times the vaper now. U dnt need high nic strength. And above all, be careful sub OHMing that low. Know ur battery limits. After awhile you'll know know when it's time to change batts out,by ur RDA/RBA performance. Stay safe, vape it up

First mod and your are under 0.5 ohms? Going for clouds I see... good choice on the battery. :toast:

I would recommend organic cotton for wicking. I've mostly used organic cotton balls and made my own wick but here lately I've been using organic cotton yarn. It is already in the shape of a wick and is quick to replace. I'd also recommend going with a fairly low nic amount.

I currently am running a 0.23 ohm dual coil with organic cotton yarn wick. The vapor is thick and plentiful... it is warm but manageable and I enjoy it.

Oh yeah, don't forget to find a nice wide bore drip tip. Look for acrylic or glass... metal does work but it'll heat up with low sub-ohm coil builds...

Good advice I'm going to try that! Other then the issue of the cap, it's great. The three posts are great, with the positive connection in the middle having two separate holes for wires, instead of having to put two leads in one.
