Friends, I am having trouble learning the Calculator... I'll get it... but I think I need a few things explained beforehand...

I ordered 100.00 worth of supplies from one stop:

15 flavorings. lorann, flavourart, stock
30ml of PG 48 mg
30ml of PG/VG 48 mg
30ml of VG 48 mg
4 Ounces of PG
4 Ounces of VG
Accessories etc...

So, I want to make a 5ml bottle of orange/cinnamon. I want it to be 12mg of nic... VG base...

How do I do this? I get confused on the calc...

The impulsive part of me just wants to
add 1ml of 48mg VG
add 3 ml of vg
add 3 drops of orange
add one drop of cinnamon
water too huh?

Why can't it be that easy?

1- not sure about adding water to VG...
2- not sure how many drops of orange and cinnamon if I want it to be 3 parts orange/1 part cinnamon.

3- if my base liquid is a 50/50 pg/vg mix, how do I account for this on the calc?

4- anyone just wing it? I cook this way and my meals are great ;-)
any advice on winging it if I go that route?

Thanks, G
4- any advice on how to use this calc?

Yep, in an all VG mix, you'll want to add some distilled water unless the flavoring dilutes it for you. Depends on your flavoring %. If you have less than 15% flavoring, you'll probably need some water to thin it down enough to wick.
2- not sure how many drops of orange and cinnamon if I want it to be 3 parts orange/1 part cinnamon.
How about 3 drops orange and one drop of cinnamon? A "part" is any quantity you want to use, so a part could be a drop, 0.02ml, 1ml, etc. Each part is an equal amount.
3- if my base liquid is a 50/50 pg/vg mix, how do I account for this on the calc?
Is the final PG/VG ratio critical? If it is not, why fret about it? Just put everything in as if it is PG.

You can wing it, but if you do not record everything you do, you will never make the same thing again. If that is cool with you, it is cool with me.

If you have the latest calculator from Scubabatdan, I read where it includes tips and instructions in it now. I'm still using v11, slightly customized.

Might want to measure your drop size. Drip a number of drops in a cylinder or plugged syringe to come up to 3ml. Divide the number of drops by the mark, 3 in the example, and that is the amount of drops you have per ml. Which is a field that can be entered into Scubabatdan's calculator.

It's so easy a Hoosier can do it!
