Brand new to E-Cig!

I am spankin' brand new to the E-Cigarette. Just got my Joye 510 today. I am amazed at how similar it is to a cigarette but without the nasty smell!

I filled the cartridge one drop at a time, worked well. But then i saw the thread below and tried it that way. But when I did it that way when i unscrew the filter the filter material slides out - seems to get stuck in the cylinder and comes right out of the cartridge holder....thought maybe i did something wrong, filled another blank cartridge that way and filled it again using this method. Unscrewed the cartridge, the filter again came out. Didn't do that when i filled it up drop by drop...I have now ruined two blank cartridges.

Am I just doing something wrong? Maybe there is a specific type of blank cartridge needed to fill that way?

You're calling it a cartridge, but the vid is about a cartomizer. Does what you're filling look like that one in the vid? For one thing, if it's a 510, the threads would be different....sticking out of the cartomizer instead of recessed. I don't quite understand how the filler material could come out if it's a cartomizer. If it's just the cartridge that comes with the 510, then just fill it by drops. This way (condom method) is for cartomizers.

There's a difference in cartomizer and cartridge. My 510 came with cartridges.....you can see the filler material. It is flush with the end that you slide into the atty (atomizer). You need to drip about 10 or 12 drops of juice right onto that filler material. When it is saturated and looks like a slushy, it's full. If it pools up on top, dab it off with Kleenex or something. Then drip one or two drops directly onto the bridge of the atty, put the cartridge in, and vape.

sounds like your confusing cartomizers and cartridges. Cartomizers are atomizer+ cartridge all in one. Sounds like you have a atomizer on yours and when your unscrewing the filler is getting caught on the bridge. What your saying that is happening cant really happen with a cartomizer. the filler is sealed inside. If by chance i am right you have not messed up your carts just stuff the filler back in them. Also push the cart straight in to the atomizer when removing do the same pull straight out. There are no threads on regular carts just threads where the atomizer screws into the battery.

Oh, and you haven't ruined the cartridges. They are reusable. Just stuff the filling back in with a pair of tweezers and start over. Make sure the filler comes up to the top, flush with the end that goes into the atty. It has to touch the bridge of the atty for the heat to get to it. Hoping this helps.

Thank you! I am still sketchy on the lingo, but your post helps me a LOT. I wasn't sure how much ejuice should go into this...based on your description it sounds like I have cartridges...i can see the filler material at the top. I will moving forward just put 10-12 drops in like you suggested vs trying to do what he did in the youtube vid, because that clearly isn't working well.

I guess I don't have a cartomizer and that is why i ran into probs.

Jammin, hope by this time you've been happily vaping all night! LOL. There's a pretty steep learning curve on these things at first, but it will all start making sense soon. You can reuse all those carts (cartridges) so don't throw anything away. : )

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. Its funny - I really have not craved a cigarette since I started this. But I have experienced odd symptoms that started after 24 hours that I think might be related to cigarette withdrawal. Headache and slight nausea, and i have had a little bit of heartburn. Anyone else experience this? I think it might be because my ejuice is 11 mgs and that might be much lower nicotine than what I was getting in cigarettes? Either way I just need to sweat it out as I am sure even if it is w/drawal that won't last long and should be mild since i am still getting nicotine.

Which leads me to a question. I have looked around on the forum and not really found the exact answer I was looking for. While I love the Joye 510, the juice I bought with it leaves an odd aftertaste. I got the USA Mix, 11 mgs. I smoked Camel light and Marlboro light (never really mattered which i switched em up a lot). I know exact replications are not gonna happen or even expectable but can anyone recommend a better tobacco flavored juice than the USA Mix sold by "E Cig Best Save"? I dont know if this is enough info or not to ID the product. The bottle just says USA Mix. 11 mgs.

I'd like maybe an 18 mg. Any suggestions on a good product to try? And I was never into flavored cigarettes but reading posts here it seems that a lot of people enjoy some flavored e juice even if they didnt smoke anything flavored prior to E Cig.
What is your favorite non tobacco flavored EJuice? I would like to order a bottle of a tobacco blend flavor and one of a different flavor and thought maybe some suggestions here would help me choose.

There are many places to get juice in many flavors and many strengths, often to MANY when you are starting. What you need to do is goto some of the fourms many vendors that sell juice and pickup some of the sampler packages. I liked TastyVapors, MadVaps, and some others. Once you find out what types of flavors you like, then your half way thru the vapor process...
