Can I ask you a question about your buzz pro on this thread? I have a buzz pro, and I was using IMR AW 16340s because apparently the buzz pro won't let them over discharge. Well, it did. I had a brand new, fully charge pair in there, vaped it for two days, got great battery life, but when they died, I took them out and tested them, and one of them was at 2.25 VOLTS!! and the other was at 2.5. I put them on the charger, in a safe place, where they could vent if they wanted. I charged them for three seconds then took them off. They read 3.3 volts, so they immediately shot up. Then, I decided to charge them for ten minutes. They got warm, but not hot. I don't remember them getting warm at all on the first charge. So, I may consider these batteries destroyed. What do you think, does your buzz pro protect your batteries from over discharge? I am in contact with Bovinia (spelling?) at not cigs.com
I just realized something, on the notcigs website, where it lists the buzz pro protection features, it does not say over discharge protection. Okay, forget what I said then, it is not supposed to protect against that. I will just use protected batteries from now on.

I don't see a brand, just some horses on it and made in china 18650, rechargeable 3.7 volt NCM 1800mah battery

I agree with kiwivap, they are not to be trusted. Sorry if we bum you out, but you said you had AWs coming? Those are excellent. I am not saying that their couldn't be a good battery made in china, but when no brand is listed, it is highly suspect. If they made a good product, and stood by it, they would want you to know who made it. I have bought cheap batteries just to test and see what they are like, and they will have bottom caps on them that say all types of different brands. A lot of the time, they are recycled batteries from laptops and things like that. When using a "mod" you are essentially shorting the battery to generate heat. This uses a large amount of power. It takes high quality batteries to supply this power. Sure, that cheap battery may work for a while, but how hard is the battery working? A quality battery will be comfortably supplying power, while a cheap one, will be working too hard, which is bad, because it causes heat to build up. Also, make sure your charger does not charge the batteries too fast. An AW 18650 IMR 2000 mah battery can be charged at up to 2000 mah, but charging slower is better. A non IMR, AW battery needs to be charged slower as well. You can use a 1000 mah battery charger, which would be written on it, next to "Output" I charge my batteries even slower, around 400 or lower. I also don't need the full capacity of the battery, because I am home a lot. So, I only charge up to 4. volts, and only run them down to 3.4 or 3.5. Sure, I have to charge the battery more, but it lasts way longer. I can get over 2000 cycles with an AW 18650, which is years, rather than only 500 cycles. Lithium like to be kept in the middle, they get stressed by full charges and full discharges. If you are going out for the day, don't let me discourage you from charging them all the way, but if you don't need to, they will thank you for it. Keep asking the guys and gals here question to.

I forgot to say, you should definitely read what kiwivap recommended. At the bottom of the blog, kiwivap recommends you read the whole battery safety page. You should do this, at first it makes you never want to touch a battery again, haha. But, a little fear is what keeps you safe.

I have read Kiwi's blog, interesting stuff although I didn't understand a lot of it, it was MUCH better than the other post yours directed me to, that was like reading a foreign language. Original batteries have finally arrived and are on the charger as we speak. Now to just convince hubs to stick with the IMR batteries might be my biggest challenge!

Does he not prefer IMR batteries, for a particular reason? Make sure you pull the batteries off when they are don't, and keep an eye on them when they are charging. The second article points out that, most accidents happen right after charging. Over charging, then using immediately is a recipe for destruction. So, after charging, take them off and let them rest. Some people say rest for 15 minutes, some say, a few hours. I let them rest 15 minutes if I know that they are not over charged. A multimeter is a vapers friend, you don't need an expensive one, and you may already have one. They are great for testing batteries. Make sure they are not above 4.2 volts. Older chargers over charge IMR cells, sometimes. Let me know what else is fuzzy. I don't feel like I am doing a good job helping you. Help me, help you, haha.

As to the main topic. I;m not having any of those problems the OP mentioned with my new zmax v2. It does sound like he is having trouble with the menu system in which case he will still have to deal with that with the provari.

Yes, I thought the same. The OP was talking about the version 1. It did read to me like he didn't understand the menu at that point too. It's an old thread.
