To start the year off right, I'm happy to present a pipe mod, made from a redundant radiator pressure valve which I've thought of using for months and getting it functional but not quite 'done' took only 3 hours, the rest was just fun. It's running a 18350 IMR and a 04050CAH booster with the pins removed and the component legs soldered directly in the holes and a 82K resistor to get to a fixed 4.57v.

Thanks harm, the top is threaded and has a threaded hole in it for a plastic shut off knob (not used). The rest is all my fault. The watch parts are just too small for me so the whole movement is in there with the face on the other side. That is also the vent area so it actually isn't too waterproof.

Zoid, it's missing a gear but can still be wound. I got it from a cool guy named Erwin who does watch repair in Victoria BC. He gave me a second one that does work but it's bigger and has no face.

Coffee, my daughter would be jealous, she's a big fan of studio Ghibli and just today we saw a pretty good french film 'Dragon Hunters', nice for a euro take on it.

  So it wasn't the spider robot from Johnny Quest??

    asdaq!

Thanks, that is actually a different one, this one has more bulk on the legs, that one has more body. :)

Jim, there is some white smoke that comes out of it but is quite eco-friendly. As for moving parts, the tubing on the legs is loose so gravity keeps them down and the whole switch floats on magnets and spins quite freely. I started with the idea that with a pipe anything goes but then since it is rather small anyway, taming it to make it pocket friendly was needed to take it with me. The upper arm stops the rotation and the lower one blocks a leg from making contact.

    Safety on:

    Safety off but rotation stopped:

The other one will have an easier to activate safety, but I'm out of those ring magnets!
