Is there any reason (besides tarnishing) that this doesn't get done or talked about more often?
I've sanded down the chrome-plated contacts on my Drawtube, but the large SS contact at the bottom is stealing some of my well-earned power and I'd like to make it as conductive as possible to see if it makes a bigger difference to my battery usage before I write mech mods off for good.
Currently the DT is robbing me of 0.4v and I'm sure I might be able to claw an extra 0.2 out of it, maybe...?
Anyway, once the battery hits the 3.7v plateau in real terms, it gives me 3.3V under load which is just a smidge under where I want the coils to be and I don't want to be coiling under 0.5Ω not just for the battering the batteries take, but also the fact that I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE charging batteries. Absolute bane of my life. The less I have to do that the better.
