Brass?

I don't currently have the budget for a brass RM2, but I would like to make the Woodvils look nice. I can tell the well isn't shiny brass FT cr@p, but does anyone have a brass drip tip that somewhat matches? I'm not crazy about the straight tube ones, I like mings and knobby sort of tips.

Does it look good on the brass Woodvil cup thingy? In the pictures the Woodvil brass doesn't look that gold.

Thanks for the link, but I meant a brass tip to use on an atty. I got an RM2 awhile ago, but haven't put it together yet. I got a silver one not knowing I would get caught up in Woodvil Fever.

Ocelot you can always remove the finish from the RM2 you have if you prefer the brass. A drill, 510to510 connector, and sand paper and your in business.

They don't seem to have much listed online (unless you facebook...I don't). I walked in to their store a few weeks back, and had a knobby one I liked for about $9. Maybe if you contact them they can hook you up!

As long as its chuck will open enough to hold the 510 adapter or what ever you use to hold the RM2 to spin it. Just don't chuck up the RM2 's 510 connection as you don't want to booger up those threads.

I meant using the dremel on the RM2. Anyway, I know I won't do it. I never seem to get around to projects like that.

Here is a brass drip tip I got from Driptip Designz. It matches the brass on the RM2 perfectly. The RM2 is one that I stripped to brass with a with a progression from course to fine sandpaper. Won't know how it matches the Woodvil catch cup until later this week.

Oh, I see. Should work fine. Would just be much quicker spinning the RM2.

ETA: Uh oh! I just looked at the RM2 on the ReosMod site. I got one before I knew I was getting the Woodvil. It says to put a note when ordering if you plan to use it on a wood mod. Will there be a problem?

I don't think so - I believe that Rob made sure that the RM2's would work just fine on this run of Woodvils. It's probably more applicable for the older Woodvils. At least that's how I understand it. I didn't specify when I ordered my brass ones.

No - that Woodvil is from this run - it was a surprise gift from Rob.

You are correct. There is a language difference going on here that I was not aware of. In Australia, the "latest" run is the current run. For example, the "latest" model Ford car you can buy here is the current model Ford car. Anything that came out before the latest (current) model was a previous model or earlier model. I'll try to remember that for next time but no promises
