Hello,

I’m new to bringing vapes on trips but from US to Mexico I’ve had no problems so far. I’m currently in Puerto Vallarta, and I’m worried about the Mexican security stopping me on the way to the plane, I’m wondering if I should just toss my NOVO 2 before the airport so I can insure a safe, hassle free, trip. Or if I should keep it? My parents don’t know that I vape (as I’m on a trip with them) but being im 41 there’s not much they could do about it except be grumpy old people. Anyways I’m wondering if they stop you down here in Mexico and potentially confiscate your vape or if I’m all good to bring my device through?

Thanks in advance,

What you need to know: Vaping is legal in Mexico, however under federal law, you can not sell, trade, promote, distribute or produce any vape related products. Unbelievably, e-cigarettes are governed by a law first introduced to regulate the sale of candy cigarettes. There is no law against taking your ecig with you when you visit Mexico but there have been reports of devices being confiscated by customs."

Could try carring a mod on your person and spread out juice and other (back up mod) vape etc. within your luggage.

I've never had any trouble going back & forth to Mx with personal vape stuff.
Now if you had an amount of vape stuff that could be considered excessive / for sale / import you'd probably have a reason to be concerned.

Anything with a battery must be in your carry on luggage.
I don't see how you'd conceal from your parents, it should be in plain view in the bin with other carry on items, if it goes through screening concealed I'd expect security to flag it & want to see what it is.
