broke vapor needs some help

Hey guys. I am super broke. I am having to just get little 5 dollar bottle at the liquor store to get buy until I have some money come in for some premium stuff. This is making me want to make my own juice. I am hoping that here I can find some direction of where to start.

1) I dont know if I should get vg, pg, or 50/50 nicotine juice or what strength or how much of it i need to start. I genrally like a vape in the 12-16 mg range

2)I really love tobacco flavors for the most part. some vanilla or caramel or butterscotch mixed in maybe, I really like Last Emporer and Bobas Bounty. Havent had a chance to try that many other premium tobacco flavors, I rarely find a B&M that even

3)Should I buy vg and pg? or can i get by with just vg if i get a 50/50 mixed nicotine?

I know these questions have probably been answered many times...I hav ebeen reading so much about this stuff that my brain hurts and now my boss(wife) is telling me to figure out what i need to get to start making my own and I dont know where to begin pricing it all out. I would like to get enough for at least a few weeks supply before having to order more. I tend to go through a 30ml bottle in a week and a half to two weeks. sometimes just a week depending on my mood. THank you guys so much for all advice in advance. I know you dont have to give it and I really love this community for how supportive it has been. Definitely cant relapse now as I have been analogue free for 35 days now

It would make 100ml of 15mg/ml juice, if that helps.

Go to Wizard Labs and order 120ml of 12mg Nicotine solution for $6.39 or 250ml for $12.78 (also have 18mg if preferred). Then go to their TFA flavors page and choose flavor(s) that you want, $1.49 for 10ml. Find 'TFA Single Flavor' percents on this site and mix approximate -- using full 10ml in 120ml of nic yields 8.3% so adjust accordingly. I definitely prefer VG based nic but, as it's thicker, add 15% distilled water. Shake 3-4 minutes to thoroughly mix (should see lot's of air bubbles)

And enjoy. Some flavors I have liked: French Vanilla, Cinnamon Danish, Cantaloupe, Cinnamon Sugar Cookie, or maybe some Egg Nog to get in the season. Search forum for more flavor suggestions. You're on your way -- enjoy!

Yup and youd have 3-4 weeks of juice total cost is probably going to be $2 for the nicotine and another $8-10 or so for the supplies at Wizard labs.

So i could also just get 12mg/ml nic from wizard labs and not have to mix in the nicotine at all huh? but I dont see the option to choose if its pg or vg

And remember to start mixing in very small quantities to test, first - so in case you mess up you don't lose your whole supply. Once you get the ratios down and the taste is good, then you can mix larger batches.

ok so heres one last question for you guys. I am going to order the sample right now. I guess with such a tiny ammount of the ratio coming from the unflavored nicotine the pg/vg ratio probably doesnt matter that much.

I like a lot of flavor and throat hit. should I go with a pure pg nicotine or pg/vg? I am likely just getting the vg from wizardlabs to mix with. cant really afford vg and pg out the gate.

Their shipping is rather slow. Well, it just takes them a few days to process the order. Like 3-5 days before it ships, if you order nicotine. High quality stuff, but it doesn't come fast.

My mixes are about 30% flavoring. If I were to make single-flavor mixes (which tend to go poorly), 8ml would make 8/.3 = 26.6 ml. If I were to only use 20% flavoring, it would be 8/.2 = 40 ml. Flavor is definitely the bottle-neck to DIY. I would recommend flavors like strawberry, sweet cream, etc - nice, simple things. I got TFA rainbow drops, thinking it would be good alone. It's not. But, that's just me.

I'd go with VG. I can't stand pure PG, and if you didn't have VG to dilute anything, your mix would be 100% PG. Hardly any vapor, very harsh, blech.

From what I been seeing most people if they are using an RDA and drip their juice then they want %80 Vg to %20 Pg or 70VG/30PG. If your using cartomizer tanks then usually its 50/50. Anything more than 60VG/40PG in a tank and it doesnt like to wick too well and you get the burnt coil taste fairly often.

One of the things that put me off doing DIY is that all the material I've read on it suggests that it takes a lot of time and patience. You make a tiny batch and put it aside for a couple weeks while it steeps. Over the next couple weeks, while you're watching the first batch slowly change color, you make several more tiny batches. As each batch reaches maturity, you might need to make notes on adjusting the flavors and ratios to get it where you like it. Some are just awful and require either more steeping or a trip down the drain. Also, pg and vg are cheap when you buy them in bulk, which will save tons of money on juice in the long run, but your initial investment will be substantial.
Understand that I never did bother to try DIY. It just seemed like a whole lot of effort and frustration and like it would require far more patience (and math) than I could muster. I could be totally wrong, and I suspect that others who have actually done it might happily point that out. But, I'm disabled and living on an extremely limited budget. So I just go to Mt Baker Vapor and spend 40 bucks and get 236 ml's of my all day vape, which lasts me about four months - plus they always send a 15ml freebie with larger orders, and I have a ten percent off coupon code. I've not been able to find anything even close to that price. If I'm really broke, I just get a 15ml bottle for 5 bucks to tide me over. And for variety, I enter a lot of juice contests here on ECF.
Anyway I'm not trying to talk you out of it, I just wanted to say it might not be the immediate gratification and money-saving cure you're looking for. Whatever you decide to do, best of luck to you!

nudenicotine didnt take that long at all a few days.

wizardlabs takes a little longer at times from what I have heard depends when you order and how busy they are, but less than a week I am sure.

Throat hit is gonna be alittle more PG than VG. 50/50 is mild.

I would probably go 100% pg and 100 mg so its easier to handle when mixing thats what I did.

VG at 100% is much thicker and kind of sticky and at 100 mg you will need only a little.

then you can order the bigger bottle 120 ml and get the ratio you want there to mix alittle higher PG with the nicotine juice.

Oh they send the 15 ml sample in a test tube vial that's pointed on the end and has a screw top so you will need something to hold it upright when you take the top off. hmm maybe thicker would be better if you spilled it....anyhow be careful!

Sounds to me like your jumping in the deep end. Diy is hobby to be taken up when you have extra cash around. The savings comes later.
