I read over this thread a couple of times and decided to give it a go once i had a dead battery.(thanks lelly)

First off to remove the battery tube from the button holder, grip it in the middle and wiggle back and forth till it comes off. My battery was glued in the tube from the inside. To remove it I drilled a small hole in the cap and pried it off. Then removed the glue and pushed the battery out the tube.

I got some buttons off a old DVD board that was taking up space and a retractable USB cord from a dead mini mouse.

Solder a red wire to the center post of the battery connector

Then put everything together to make sure it works
Positive usb wire to switch>switch>to center positive post
Negative usb wire to outer rim

If it worked you can put your button together in the housing.
I reused the original silicone button cap and placed my new button under it to keep the original button location

Once the button was in the correct spot i used hot glue to keep it in place

I reinforced the thin usb wire with automotive goop.
Solder everything up and glue your end cap back on and your done

I also painted the battery flat black because i didn't linke the shiny riva finish.
Works Great
