broken switch

Have you tried "lightly" bending the tab in the cap up and/or "gentle" stretching the spring in the end cap to aid battery connection to the main cap ??

Just asking, and not saying that its your issue since well...... electronic parts CAN mess up, but sometimes this is the only issue that may cause the problem and figured I'd offer the suggestion.

I think he may have an old button. I have had no issues with the newer buttons failing .

Thanks Jaybird! This is one of the VERY first powdercoated ones, so yes, it is likely an older switch. I'll send it it off soon! And thanks smokum, but it really is the button, checked with MM.

Just wanted to update, and thank Jay for some first rate service! Sent my unit in, and got a call right away from Jay about the problem I had been having. He then went thru and rebuilt the unit and had it back in a flash, working like new! Big thumbs up on the great service from a guy who cares about his customers!
