Buckeye Fans - The Phidias Mod Project!

Hey Buckeye fans! Just wanted to tell you about a special mod I am having made. It will be one of a kind, out of this world and figured my fellow Buckeye fans would appreciate this.

I have some of the old original redwood seat planks from the Shoe. It was milled in 1921 and put into the stadium in 1922. These were torn out during the renovation in 2000. I'm sending some of this to fono who makes the Phidias wood mods, of which you can see my current one in my avatar. He is going to make a custom Phid out of this special wood, it will have a scarlet red vertical inlay and a gray horizontal inlay.

I look forward to getting this and using it, especially at some Buckeye games this season. Just imagine the history that this wood has seen!

I will update this as time goes on and post pics. If I'm the only one that thinks this is cool then sorry for wasting your time, but to me this will be the ultimate PV!

fono has received the wood and already cut into it to reveal a beautiful redwood living underneath the old dark outside

It does look lovely. Maybe I need to pilfer some of the redwood from The Stables restaurant. If I remember correctly, the bar is made from the benches that used to sit under the Browns...you know, when they were a pro team. Sorry, gotta get my digs in when I can. Canton is as much a Steelers town as Browns - probably even more so.

Reminds me of a joke. Why can't Canton get a pro football team?

Because then, Cleveland and Cincinnati would want one too.

Brutus you've got me thinking.....I live in 'the maple city'. The house I lived in for 30 years is about to be demolished and I'm pretty choked up about it.


I wonder if I could get a hunk of my tree from the backyard and send it to fono

I just don't know how I would get the wood.....since it's no longer my property I can't just request the tree be cut down.
