On the way home today I got into an accident, completely totaled my car in the middle and I'm just lucky to be alive.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone: wear your seat belt.

I hated wearing my seat belt, would almost never buckle up, but this morning it seemed a little slippery and I decided to buckle up and take it slow.

Oh my! Any injuries? I'm glad you're ok.

I got some scrapes from glass, some burns from the airbag, bruises from the seatbelt and my knees got banged up from the dash caving in on me.

No one got hurt too badly, though my Mini 2.1 did take some damage at the 510 connection I assume. I tried unscrewing it with my hands earlier and it didn't want to budge.

On top of that, I don't know what money is going to be like until I talk to my insurance company so my planned Grand buy looks like it's dead in the water.

First thing's first though, I've gotta figure out what to do with this now...

Wow, Glad your OK!

I'm really glad you're alive and relatively well....so sorry to see. I hope you can take some proper down time to relax and unwind after that.

Thanks guys, it took a while to sink in but holy .... was I close to punching out early. So much for playing it super-safe this morning by waiting like 7 hours to sober up completely. I'm probably going to take some Tylenol I got prescribed and catch up on some sleep before I go to my orthopedist.

Contact Rob. If it's something you can fix, you can get the repair kit. If not, you can send it in so Rob can do it.

I've managed to get it to work at least in the interim, though if I run into even the slightest problem I've got a dripper and tube as a back up. Hopefully I can just pop it back into place, if not I'll be sure to shoot Rob a PM.

Looks like the bottom of RM2 might be wedged into the drip well of the Reo. does it still fire?

The RM2 is hanging just over the top of the drip well, though the brass base might be what's keeping it crooked.

It's still firing, just did a test and no shorting or anything. I was actually surprised something didn't snap when I dug it out of my console, tough as nails these things.

Gnarly accident, glad you're ok!!

I've had a few good drops and bent the atomizer out of place like that a few times. Get a cloth and some pliers, put the cloth around the base of the RM2 (to prevent scratches), then twist it off with the pliers (be sure to grab the base, not the top part). It should screw in straight when you put it back... at least that's been my case the few times this happened.
