I build the same as I do whether it's flavored or unflavored (which is 99% of the time). I still prefer my 0.4 ohms or so, I still enjoy my twisted coils. It doesn't make a difference what I'm vaping, it's the build I prefer. Me doing reviews, I'll usually buy a flavor if I review a tank or RDA for the purpose of a video, then I go straight to unflavored after it's recorded. I still watch other videos despite what they vape to see if there is problems, how airflow is, how building on it is and such.

Since flavor is the most important criteria for me in choosing what tanks I use and how I build, I wouldn't rely on suggestions from someone who vapes unflavored. If I needed suggestions, I'd try to find someone who vapes like I do. That just makes sense to me in any area of life, not just vaping.

Though I vape unflavored most of the time, I still do drip and sub-ohm flavored liquids, before this stage I was mainly a flavor chaser in all my devices, before that I was a cloud chaser and before that I was an intermediate tootle puffer, and before that I was a newb beginner. Been vaping 3yrs or so, pretty broad in my experience, not beating my own drum, but have enough experience I can at least guide or nudge someone in a direction to look at, every vaper is unique as is every builder is unique in their own styles of vaping and building. I've been there and continue to delve into the area of mid-tier flavor chasing sub-ohm and plus ohm vaping, how I know one of my builds is spot on and will be good for flavored liquids, yes it is a just straight 100% VG 0mg I prime and test with, if I can clearly taste the sweet taste of just VG, ooooh boy, that wild berry mix or melon blast flavored liquid I will be using is going to be, "Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm...yesssir that the sweet spot O_O."

I actually take little to no suggestions anymore. I have sort of hit that point where I understand what I am looking for and the performance I am expecting from both device and build.
Armed with that knowledge I shop things of interest to see it they may meet my needs.

Unless you can find somebody that really likes the same flavour juice in the same atty, with the same build and power level as you do (and good luck with that) it all subjective.

Unflavoured juice does have a taste, and that will change dependent on your build and airflow just the same as any flavoured juice.

I think the airflow and chamber size are the most important factors when choosing an atty. After a while you find a style that suits you. I like small chamber size with a restricted airflow. Just because I like that kind of setup does not make it the best setup for anybody else.

Every few days new kit is released, you get a huge raft of opinion ranging from best atty ever, to complete waste of money.
A great deal of the threads devoted to each new piece are pretty much a sales pitch, somebody somewhere is making money.

All you can do is be selective in terms of the style of atty, pick those that you have a good idea will fit into your own style of vaping and hope they work out!

I think maybe contacting Super-X. He's been vaping unflavored for quite awhile with many set-ups.

I've been vaping it since I've joined here and I know the taste had changed ( same set-up) and assumed like all things that I've just been on it too long. Don't get that Original flavor anymore which was really tasteful.
Build or tastebuds, I don't know.

I vape flavored and unflavored. That being said, I would be just as likely to rely on suggestions from someone who only vapes unflavored. For me, what's good for one has always proven to be good for the other. So yeah, I think an unflavored-only vaper can give reliable suggestions for builds, atty or whatever.

I don't think I would take build suggestions from someone who only vapes unflavored but only because juices themselves can taste so different from one build to the next as well as one device from the next. One juice I have, green jolly rancher flavor called Swamp Thing, tastes like green apple potpourri in an RDA at low ohms but fine in a tank with higher ohms. I have to dilute it with 50% percent unflavored nic to get it to taste like green apple jolly rancher in an RDA. Then I find that it tastes even better with a wide bore drip tip versus one of my router drip tips.

So, actually I think I would take advice from an unflavored vaper in terms of heat and vapor production but for flavor I would suggest one experiments with their particular juices and devices/toppers on their own. There are to many variables for flavored liquids so one size will never fit all.

Sure thing. If a person could bring out good flavor from an unflavored juice, imagine how well that build might be for a flavored mix....
