Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

yeh i heard the flat top 12mm are like pushing a keyboard button - the raised ones are better - but tooooo big for me..

could probably get china to fabricate a flat top version of the clicky dome - but kinda makes you wonder what the market is for stuff like that, take for example that PVA mod project (er hem;-) 683 funders

I'm using a 12mm in an SX350 build and the best description is kinda mushy with no click. Don't like it much.

I ordered a 12mm led switch as well and I concur. No click and annoying to press. Clicky dome or go home.

I have one w/o the LED too and it's a bit more comfortable to press.

So nobody has been able to source even a slightly clicky 12mm switch? For crying out loud.

Is the fire switch for the VaporShark proprietary? That seems like a wasted resource. They must be used elsewhere. But where?...

For those who are using the Sanjosse USB cradles, what are you using to secure them to the fasttech enclosures? Not so worried about the main board/display cradle, as a little RTV silicone will be more than enough to keep them still, but the USB cradle will obviously see a little more stress

RebelGolfer72, I just used super glue gel, and it's holding well. You're mileage might vary

Mouser PV5S24019 I have used two of these they work well they are slightly clicky and take up minimal space in the mod its like .40" or .45"

It works, its cheap, its 12mm

I did not read your other posts so you may be looking for something completly diff.

Here is a pic of one in a 1590G the black one, and one in a 1590A the red one. Same switch diff colors hope that helps.

Wish there was a metal version. I don't like teh plastic. And less protuberant.

Looks like my 2nd order from Elev8 is moving along nicely. I ordered Sat, shipped Mon and it's already at my local hub so I might be getting it tomorrow. They sent it Priority Mail and it shows up in the USPS system as 1 day (Elev8 is about 20 miles from me). 1 day late isn't too bad considering it's USPS.

Those FT enclosures look nice, the switch may be a issue but the rest looks good for under 30 bucks

Normally I wouldn't think twice about driving 20 miles but I'm in NJ and they're in Brooklyn. Just getting into Brooklyn is 1hr in traffic each way. And I HATE NYC.

You will need to set it above 20w and have a temp sensing coil attached to know for sure
