Basically just a few questions that I really wanted to know the answer to and the reasoning behind it, tried googling it but couldn't find anything so maybe of you guys or gals could help :D?

So when building on a rda using kanthal, when going for a dual coil build on a 4 post design addy.. why is it you put the positive lead in the furtherest positive hole away and not the positive post hole right next to the negative hole that you're inserting the coil leads into and why? When I first started building I did that once and posted a picture and asked for feedback and then was told to do that and I never really wondered why until now why is it we do that because I've seen the pros do it the same way as well.

Also figured I'd throw up a build I did, still somewhat new to building so any feedback and criticism is available and will be helpful, I'm not looking for a guide or tutorial about your suck twisted claptons you're building :)

Your build actually looks really good!

I never understood why anyone wanted all those weird twisted coils. I like just plain single or dual coil.

The reason the coils are using the furthest post is to space the coils out. If you put a coil the way you are describing you'd have a coil on the far right side and a coil all the way the left side, but neither would be directly over where it should be for maximum flavor and vapor.

Yep. You get better flavor and vapor if you center your coil in the air flow through the atty. Only advice I have is build bigger on that RDA. The more surface area your coil has in contact with the wick, the bigger the clouds. That RDA is made for huge clouds and huge coils. I would fill it up with some Nichrome 80 coils. 24G, 3 mm or 1/4" ID, 8 - 10 wraps. That's just personal preference though. :thumb:

All I have to work with is 26 gauge kanthal and subox mini thats limited to .3 ohms and no lower so I'm kind of stuck on what to do with what I have. Any suggestions? I'm upgrading to an Ipv 4s this Christmas though considering its fairly cheap and gives me more of a range of things I can work with.

I have the iPV4. It's a solid mod. With 26G I would still go larger diameter and more wraps when you get the iPV. It will take some decent power to fire it up though. I think your subbox is 50W? That's going to limit you a little bit. You might have about as big a build as you can power for now. You can try 8 or 10 wraps at 2mm, but I think it's going to have a long ramp up time.

How is it? Any issues with the juice leaking on/in the cracks on the top near the center pin? My mutation leaks like a sum ..... some times with me being stupid and over filling it with juice. Yeah, I'm maxing my device out right now at 50watts with a .3 dual coil 6 wrapped 3/32 diameter coil.. best I can really do/get and the ....ing battery life is so horrible with me chain vaping and maxing it out in the watts. Any suggetions on a type of wire to pick up and some coil builds to try out in the mutation v4 on an ipv 4s? Not sure how I feel about wrapping ti or ni wire though, haven't read too much of the safety issues with all of it yet.. just heard some things.

Google- offset and centered coils, you can bend the legs and place the coil however you like.

I like it. Haven't had any issues, but my tanks don't leak like that. Lol! I would say pop the tank off ad wipe out the 510 connection once every few re-drips. Or use a heat sink. It's a spring loaded connector, so I would imagine juice would seep down through it and cause problems.
I tried TC and wasn't impressed. I'll post some pics of builds I run under 50W. I don't use 26G, but rather 28G kanthal. I like 24G Nichrome 80 wire for RDA's. N80 is lower resistance, but heats faster at lower wattage. It cools off faster too.

Plume Veil with 2 strand parallel 28G, 6 wraps, 3mm, .65 ohms 35W

Same Plume Veil. 24G N80 duals, 3mm, 6 wraps .25ohms. 50W (9 wraps would get you over .3 ohms, but 50W might not be enough for it. Close though.)

I have several Kayfuns, an orchid, and a Billow V2 that all run between 20 - 35W as well. They all have 28G, 2mm coils in them between .6 and 1.6 ohms.
