Here we go, Wings enticing me to buy a A2-T before I even get my first Bulli - good job Wing

So my ego type A & B drip tips arrived today and they are a perfect fit in the A2-T and A2-MT. So here are the working theories on dripping so far:

1) Remove wick plate from center section and drip away.

2) Drill very small hole in upper A2-T or A2-MT section to be able to drip without needing center section. It appears that a hole at the very top edge of the bottom coil section threads would work well and not allow too much leaking from over dripping.

3) If you are careful with your drip there is no need to drill a hole in your A2-T and A2-MT top sections, all you have to do to get airflow is unscrew the top section 1/8 -1/4 turn and you're good to vape your brains out. It's also smaller that when using the center section and looks a bit cooler to me as well.

Also if you make your coils traditional A2 style push the wick down around the bottom of the coil to soak up excess drippage and no leaks unless you squirt in the juice. And if you really want to play it safe stick some extra wick down around the coil posts too and you can get 20 or 30 drops in there without leaking.

At first I was not too happy with the A2-T, but after some fiddling around with the mesh, it actually performs great, the tank is fine, wicking is good, beautiful flavor and most of all an easy weezie setup. That and the fact that it fits perfect on my Darwin makes me a happy bulli vapor. I did order the downgrade to have the possibility to turn it together with the 701 carts into another set-up. Thanks Wing, Eye for your patience, sometimes there are too many variables for me to get it all understood!

Today may be the day I test the drill small hole at the thread level theory. It should work and may even have a slightly better air flow because the hole will be below the coil. A half turn should be able to open and close the air hole for dripping or tanks respectively. I'm still a bit hesitant to try this simple mod as we all know these parts aren't easy to come by. The MegaT top section might be the better choice to test this theory since it's the only part I've got from the MegaT upgrade and may not be missed too much if something goes horribly wrong.

I'm definitely going to sleep on this in hopes I will have a clearer head and possibly a better idea when I awaken.

It's highly likely Dasnk. The upgrade and downgrade tubes haven't been screwed onto your particular bottom coil, or middle wick, section so if they drilled the hole when you received your kit it most likely wouldn't be positioned directly across from the coil and performance would suffer. So it's best if you, or someone you know, drills the hole because you'll have the parts that go together and you can determine the best position for the hole to be drilled.

With the A2-T Downgrade kit do you need to do any drilling? I know it is required with the A2 -> A2T upgrade, but i'm not sure about the A2-T > A2 downgrade.

Yes, as Wing said. From the Bulli site, the ordering page for this downgrade: " Undrilled". "Drilling instruction is same as the A2-T Upgrade drilling. The Hole must be in middle of the 2 Screws when you have screw the pipe on the Base".
Replacement Pipe A2 - Bulli-Smoker GmbH

However, if you were to buy the same time as the A-2, I bet they would drill the hole for you. Probably just a comment on the order would do it.

Ok thanks for these answers, that makes sense about the threads. One more question, after you have downgraded it, can you still use it as a tank system?

I've been waiting for the Mark-T, but I might go for the A2-T+A2 downgrade if this is possible, because you've got all the options there, tank and cartridge. The only other thing is I use ego batteries, and i have read elsewhere that the bulli can have issues making contact with some of them. Whereas the Mark-T looks like it was developed around that battery.

I'm thinking, if ya want the option of both the a2 and a2-tm, its cheaper to get the a2 classic first then the a2 mega tank upgrade. Which costs total of 82.5 euros as opposed to the a2-tm plus the a2 downgrade kit which costs total 89.7 euros (all stainless steel prices). I might do this next time

The only downside is that this way u have to drill your own hole, unless you ask in the comments for them to do it for u.

My Bulli's work find on my Ego batterys. I just ordered two 900mAh VV batterys and the charging case to have around.

The only think I wish Bulli would come out with is a Ego sleeve to cover the Ego threads much like the G-Tank did.

what if you use a 510-> ego adapter and use the ring that came with the Genesis tank?
