Burn taste on my new and first RTA

Hi

A couples days i decided to get myselft an rta, i opted for the Merlin Mini RTA,right now i cant go over 24 watts, because i think it starts to burn the wire and i have a disgusting flavour in my mouth and it hurts my throat.
At 24 watts i cant taste the flavour because it is so damn cold, and i dont get that warm feeling when the vapor is goint through your throat.
The mod has a preheat fuction that is at 75w in 0.10 secs
My wire is "Geekvape" SS326L "26 GA
I use Bacon Cotton

Hi, i made a coil with 6 wraps and i left like tiny space between them, it reads 0.63 in the mod, it is a single coil.
My nic level is 3mg/ml

For more "uumph", I would wrap the same coil using two strands of the 26. Twisted or parallel. (bump to 50W plus)
You didn't mention the ID (size) of the coil, but I presume you need to stuff quite a bit of cotton in it.
If the coil was glowing evenly before wicking, then the wicking is the problem.
Coiling is dead simple...wicking takes practice and patience.

The coil is 3mm, it seems really hard to do the twisted or parallel but i will try.
The coil was glowing evenly from the inside but if i press the button a bit more it start to free weird smells from the wire and i can say it is the taste i have in my mouth when i have burn tastes.

Your English is fine, no worries.
If you just received the Merlin, it could use a complete washing with dish soap and hot water to remove any residues from production.
When glowing, coil/deck smoke is fine for a second or so, but if you continue to see/smell smoke or burning, something is wrong or dirty/wet.

Btw can i twist it without a drill?

Twist with a coffee/beer mug and a pair of pliers.

wow, i just twisted it with another methood by using a plier and a back of a tweezers, man im getting just what i wanted, im vaping at 40 watts now, with 6 wraps and 0.36ohms and it feels amazing, i dont have that weird smelly smoke from the wire anymore, the flavour is 10/10 now and vaper production is huge now, thank you so much for your help man
