Another alternative is to just read the details of these offers. Especially when the deal sounds too good to be true.

I've seen and clicked on these ads out of curiosity a few times. People nowadays just see big bold "Free", become giddy and never read all the details.

I know a few people suckered into these sorta deals. They show me the deal and I nonchalantly point to where they should've read. Happens a lot, but its all there in print. Noone to blame but themselves unfortunately.

I agree. But for those who really want the "junk" they will send you upfront, prepaid is the way to go. My fiancee ordered one of these (not sure why), but she was at least smart enough to give them a card they wouldn't be able to charge later. And maybe you will even get a first shipment of "junk" before they realize whats going on.
