As was said before, your wick looks saturated. If you are starting out good and then developing dry burnt hits, then wicking is probably too slow for the voltage. I vape 80pg/20vg with no issues on a Vision Vivi Nova 2.8 ohm coil at 3.7v on a Provari. I use 3 ohm Boge cartos sometimes and vape them at about the same voltage.

My favorite method for saturating a carto is this one. You can use this method for a punched carto since the holes are covered by the condom sleeve.

+1 for the Dr.'s method for pre-priming the carto before inserting into the tank.....Also, you will ruin your carto if you put too many holes in it because it will consistently flood as mentioned earlier in the thread. I personally wouldn't put more than 2 or 3 holes in a carto. If you have a carto with pre-drilled holes your could try expanding one or both of them with a punch or saddle valve tap (you can purchase one at Home Depot for a few bucks)

I just lost a VERY long post.
it timed out on me, had to re-login ??

Anyway.

thanks all for the responses.

I changed the CARTO and the new one works fine.
it worked for a day or so, then tasted burned,
re-primed it, put it down for a while, after 2-3 hits its OK again...

i had primed it by putting 2-3 drops down the center hole with the tip off.
- at an angle, no fluid went down the air hole.
seems to work OK for me.
i did this a few other times when it seems not to be taking up juice.
the NEW carto is only showing bubbles from1 hole when i suck air.

CARTO is working OK for me now.

One thing i dont understand is why not have several holes ?
(what is flooding?)

-------------------

the atomizer....
After playing around with the coils, it started working great.
worked for a day or so, then started getting a burned taste.
i think i let it run a bit dry.

I tried washing it, but since it was apart, i changed the wick.
i used a lighter to burn the coil while the wick was off.

I put it back together, and started getting a burned taste again.
checked everything i cant figure it out.
still getting burned taste even though the wick is new.

I kept trying, and noticed a small spot on the wick
so i washed it off with warm water and let it dry overnight.

STILL getting burned taste ?
arrrggg.....
I dont understand how a new wick (OR WHOLE NEW SYSTEM)
would taste burned ?

I am guessing its the coils, will look at it again....

i would LOVE to get this working, i love the taste of the atomizer
with this flue-cured juice!
when it works.

thanks again, i did read all the comments.
