Katya,
So good to see you. This thread would be derailed without you. And I love your diplomatic style.
So when did you get the Multimeter? I am so impressed. Did you subtract the meter’s resistance in you measurements?
Thanks for the review on the Platinum 510 from IkenVape. You answered all my questions.

Diplomatic style? More like wild throes of jealousy. I was ready to slash my wrists with the pumpkin carving knife...

You can't derail this thread. This thread is a force of nature. Besides, without all those near derailments we'd all die of boredom. :p

The giant kr808 from IkenVape is nice. Another Boge (I'm pretty sure), but with a different, much looser filler. And yet the draw is tighter than on the 510s. But the taste is cleaner. Took a good 1.5 ml of eliquid and vapes great on 3.7v. I'm having some difficulties with adjusting the airflow through my adapter on the eGo.

Later. [Ghosts and goblins at my door want candy.]

Aargh!! I thought I was supposed to be friendly to newcomers to this thread. Maybe I overdid it.:(

I'm disappearing quietly - you two carry on.

You were friendly. No doubt about it! I'll have to admit that a one night stand can be a fun thing if you don't get caught.

Don't tell nobody.
Mums the word.:) What happens during the thread stays on the thread.

I got my Ego charged up and am trying the Boge LR 510 cartos. Very impressive. Finally a wonderful throat hit and damn if this isn't the best vaping I've had in a year. A little airy but I'm trying it with the Ego cone and it's less airy. Might have to make a small mouthpiece if I keep using the cone but otherwise very very nice. :vapor::vapor:

Well, hello, Zelda, dear... How have you been?

So you like the LR Boge? I'm so afraid of using anything LR on my Riva, having lost three of them in a row. But I like the 2.3-2.4Ω range; 510 Platinum from IkenVape and my Bauways. Of course, some like it hot...:p

I have a report on the E2 R4 3Ω cartos from CoV. First I got XL cartos by mistake, but, in my excitement, I opened one before I even realized that they were XL. I needed a magnifying glass to locate those microscopic holes in the filler ring, filled the thing up with a syringe, it worked and tasted OK for about 15 minutes and then nothing. I broke the ceramic cup trying to remove the inner ring, so that was that. XL carto #2: I spent about 20 minutes trying to pry the inner ring out, this time I managed not to break the ceramic cup. Turns out the wick, at its longest loop, is about 2.4 mm long, while the cartomizer is 5 cm long. No wonder it wouldn't wick. I spent another 30 minutes doing Bad's ptb mod. It was a nightmare, really. Nothing like the neat pictures in his video, believe me. The cut ends of the wick got all frayed and looked like tiny bushy tails, no way to tuck them in back neatly. It was even harder to slide the second strip of the teabag in. I don't know how Bad does it. I filled it up and vaped. It was good. I enjoyed it, but then I realized that I was basically putting a filler into a fillerless carto just to make it work. And it took me an hour to do it. I don't want to do this.

Today I got my regular E2s from Bruce. I dripped a couple of drops on the coil and inhaled--tasted great. So I filled the carto up and started vaping. It tasted like feet (to borrow Scottbee's favorite description). Really smelly feet. It was nasty. They clearly used some of that 'flavouless omg water' in it. Totally unvapable. So now I have to spend hours removing the inner plugs, soaking those cartos in vodka overnight, rinsing and drying and dry burning them just to make them usable. If they need ptb, there's another hour of work. I don't want to do this!

So the argument is that they taste just like dripping. Well, the Joyetech cartomizers also taste just like dripping with none of the hassle of the E2s. Not to mention--plain old dripping. I have some atomizers that I like: a couple of 901s, a couple of standard Joyes, and a mega Joye. All I need to do is screw them onto a battery, drip and vape. Really.

I'm trying to keep an open mind here, but I don't get it. After all the work the guys have been doing on that other thread trying to improve them--this is what we get? We need to add filler to make them work? And take them apart and soak and boil and rinse and dry burn BEFORE we can even use them? Why?

Because it was some start-up with a maybe good idea that failed to execute.
They just didn't make the investment -- in engineering, development, manufacturing and marketing. They mistakenly thought they could refine, implement, produce and successfully market a product for (basically) free by taking the concept to an open internet forum of non-engineers, non-marketing, non-business people and prototype and implement solely based on non-technical, non-professional, public feedback. And the concept itself may be flawed for general product use. Something like that?

You're welcome.

I missed your question about the multimeter. The measurements I quoted are from "reliable source." But I get similar readings and yes, I do touch the probes together and then subtract that number from my reading. I got my MM at my local Lowe's. They have a bunch of them; I got a simple digital one for 20 bucks or so (Ideal is the brand). Br said it was OK, and I trust him. Well, I used to trust him. :p

Yeah, something very much like that...
