Unbelievable! You can fabricate plastic?

Yupperz. Plastic (Delrin.. Homo-polymer Acetal in this specific case) is easy. It's the metal parts in the underpinnings that are a pain in the .....

How short?

We're still talking atty lifespan.. right?? :p

I typically get about 5 days out of a LR atty. If I make it much over a week I know I'm on borrowed time.

You should thank your lucky stars and give that woman whatever she wants.

Are you implying that I'm not the "catch of the century"?

Ouch!

Yankee, thank you very much for that curveball. :pJust as I was getting all my carto ducks in a row... Now I'm perplexed, all over again. Smokesticks? Twenty bucks a package? And how exactly do I mount them on my kr8 batts? Is there a kr808>4081 adapter? I've only seen 510 and 901>4081. Help!

Katya:

No problem, I can understand your frustration, and noticed you asked this question on other threads, so here is what you are looking for:

You can find adapters here for 510 -> 4081 or 901 (KR8/KR808D1) -> 4081. Of course madvapes has these adapters as well, might be faster shipping being one of my favorite vendors.

Thanks for all the info and help Yankee802...this sounds like something new under the sun!!! Finally! They actually sound similair to the Greencig carto only easy to deal with. I know I asked this at another thread but for the rest of the carto squad here would you mind keeping us posted as to how you like these SmokeStik cartos...how they are holding up....are you refilling them with ease and happy with the results etc.

Thank you Yankee802. So it's been a couple weeks since your OP. Are you still happy with these things ? I'm a little unclear as to exactly how they work....no wires...so there is a bundle of fibers at the bottom of the atty tube....basicly like a GreenCig carto ? They sound great....I too bad they don't come in blanks. Have you tried refilling them and/or reusing them yet? How do they hold up for that ?
Thanks!!!

I had only ordered one box, so I only currently have 5, minus one to the 6v. I have used them a good amount and have refilled them with ease a number of times. You don't have to take the filler out, just pop off the top or condom fill if you prefer. I would only bother taking the filler out to clean once in awhile, other than that, there is no need, unless you just wanna check for any scorching, and I haven't found any. It can be kinda messy and a PITA to get the filler/tube back into place with the "atty" back in the center where it belongs, sometimes it goes back in easy, other times, not so much.

As far as GreenCig, these (4081) are NOTHING like them, they (4081) are MUCH easier, and the taste, draw, throat hit and vapor are superior IMHO.

Thanks, Yankee, for all the info. Very helpful indeed. My confusion about adapters stemmed from the fact that the vendor only lists 901, but I take it 901 is the same as kr8?

All I ever wanted is a safe, non-burning carto I could refill a few times and toss. And be able to use my 3.7v kr8 battery with it. I'm still searching...

I'm surprised you didn't like Greencigs. A lot of people like them. As a matter of fact, I'm still waiting for Drew to restock the kr8>Greencig adapters so I can order some. Hmmm...

What I meant by "like Greencig" was only in respect to the comment you made,Yankee, about the atty hairs. Have you seen the pictures of Greencig autopsy ? It has a little bundle of "hairs" in the bottom instead of the wires like regular cartos. I was just wondering if that was the similarity.

Oh great Great and Powerful OZ.....I know you were probably drunk when I sent you the Greencig PM but do you have an opinion about what the reference to "inorganic material" might be ????

HEY!!!!! NO PM-ING ALLOWED on these matters kidz; all must be out here on the table!! :grr: ;)

With the possible exception of when Scottbee sends me his address -- Doc Bee, I've decided that I would have a box of Mega cartos sent to you from Nhaler, if you or the wife would beat them up real good (well no, just typical "til the reasonable person would suspect spent-ness" abuse) then autopsy and comment (that part must be you, not the sex-withholding shrew! <calm down dhowardpeters, just sucking up to him to get what I want!!>)! All to commence very soon after receipt, as 'someone' might be starting to get that familiar old 'buy-a-ton-somewhere... SOON' impulse! (Scott, alternatively you could give your addy to Drew directly, tho that would leave room for directions discombobulation...)

Edit to add: an early-impressions review which indicates there are differences with the Megas has appeared here. Don't know if there are others yet.

The 4081s may well be the better option, but as that remains to be analyzed from various angles and I'm anticipating somewhat of a wait til all is said and done (then to determine whassup with that five-for-$7.00 source)... I'd probably be willing in the meantime to get a quantity of next-best-thang on board, to finally displace my stash of sorry regulars anyway. Katya's refreshing idealism notwithstanding, myself I play this game like musical chairs every step of the way! (Seen recent pages on the SE/njoy vs. FDA thread??? Supplies of supplier supplies may become harder to get a supply of, not to mention the big picture with a stampede of huge name antis having just signed onto the matter generally! Personally I sleep better anticipating the worst and hoping for the best. Why the heck not, anyway! :D)

porn??? Where??? anteaters?....tentacles?....vibrating pass throughs? I wanna see! :hubba:

I'm sure Scott will chime in if I'm wrong...but I don't see any difference between the "MegaCarto" and the Turbo that Ben (Vapor Nine) designed and started selling first. If anyone buys them I would be interested to know if they are also from Dekang. Pretty hard to miss since there is a little trademark guy on the box that says "dekang Inside"...don't ask me how Intell or Microsoft or whoever orginated that trademark has let that one slip by! Anyway...I digress....I seem to recall on this very thread that Ben's Turbo carts were being tested at 3.4-3.6 ohms.

I have ordered a box of the 4081's. If the Great and Powerful Oz would sober up perhaps he could tell us what he thinks of the material these things are made of ??? Yo!!!! You there....behind the curtain!!!! Yes YOU!!! What the heck would a "heat resistant INORGANIC fiber" be...in terms a monkey can understand???? It's the inorganic part I'm having trouble with....that would pretty much preclude carbon fiber, glass or silicon right ? Anyway....as I am so good at doing...I am just assuming that the 4081's will be the same atty material as the Greencig cartos because of the "hair" description....but they sound much much better! I hope they are.

Porn... er... um.... PM sent.

Awesome dude, I am like so way totally navigating the harrowing web waters over to Nhaler now!

Oh I did remember to stipulate that ya gotta crack open your impending soft-cap Turbos for a lil checky-poo soon too, yes? :p

(No folks, I'm not expecting perfection from anything, not even close. It's just that I'm that one who tends to buy in hundreds 8-o, so worth a few initial questions!)

okay....so what's the big secret???? Why is missMia running over to Nhaler instead of just sticking with the Turbo carts from Vapor Nine????????? Which btw I just bought six boxes of...anyone care to share with Aunty Anteater?????

I think she is on a mission to seek perfection in cartos. :) They sound pretty much the same as Ben's to me. Or close, at least.

lol guys, 'secret,' 'perfection?' I haven't even tried the Turbos, and still use regulars, no secrets or perfection missions here! (And I never was one of the particularly worried, or vape-picky ones anyway.) Y'all don't typically try to get your curiosities satisfied first before spending hundreds? I'm finally just deciding to bump my huge regular stash for at least a higher-resistance type, in volume. Seemed it could be God knows how long before anyone did some level of technical 'analysis' on the Megas, even if just to determine whether or not they are in fact identical (that early impressions review seemed to think not anyway, but regardless... it's all worth knowing, especially if preparing to 'invest' heavily, or even just to identify a fall-back source for times when one or the other is out of stock).

As mentioned, to me product performance (including as defined by original subject of this thread) and availability pretty much have to come first over brand loyalty, in a legal climate and wild west industry where procurement can't even be counted on on anything close to a long-term basis. In any event, can't see reason to discourage or wonder at being curious enough to take the Nhaler version for a fair spin... lk, are you trying to snag Ben as a son-in-law or somethin?? Methinks some may also feel uncomfortable with any prospects, user reports, etc. that even might upset the "Ah I'm finally home again re cartos" apple cart! ;) :D

well yeah...that's what I thought. But something Scott whispered in missMia's ear seems to have her panties all in a bunch. I just wanna know what it was....

Two important data points:

1) My soft-capped Turbo cartos arrived today. Use, and ultimately an analysis is pending.

2) Miss Mia's panties did NOT get in a bunch when I whispered something in her ear. They immediately fell to the floor. Any "bunching" after that was completely incidental and irrelevant.
