This dual coil has was heavily used for weeks at 3.7v.

Notice both ends of tube developed cracks. It did take a good amount of abuse before cracking started. It still worked fine w/ cracked tubes; unlike CE2.

The taste was still clean but vapor production went down. I measured resistance at 3 ohms so I knew a coil was out. The tube came off a couple times while on PV in pocket; probably didn't help coil. Broken coil is visible in pic.

Are the burn marks on diapers better or worse than what others experience on their cartos?
emus, I took apart my dual coil transparent carto for the first time, and it looked just a little worse than your pictures, but not much worse and this is the best and cleanest of any carto I have taken apart. I had used it for 1 week and took it apart because it had yucky brown looking streaks in the wicking wrap that you could see. I guess if it was a s.s. one I would have kept using it because I couldn't see it. LOL Anyway it looked close to your pictures so I am making progress. It was easy to take apart and I just rinsed the outer wrap with hot tap water, and just sloshed the rest of the carto around under the running water. (I did not unwrap the diaper, well I did just enought to see what things looked like next to the coil) Then I just squeezed the wrap several time with a paper towel to dry it and did the same to the diaper area, rewraped the wrap and put it back in the tube and put it back together. Filled it right away and am using it now and it works great.

Thanks Katya, still trying. And things are working better for me with the DC's and the resurrectors than other carto's. Maybe because they hold more juice, they don't get a chance to burn so quick. The 1.5 510 DC Transparent work better for me than the CE2's because of the filler, they don't leak down the stem and I don't suck juice into the drip tip, like the CE2.

I had a 5-pack of 'resurrectors' and they - well, the ones that weren't DOA - put out some killer vapour - real good and thick. I had 2 out of 5 DOA. The other 3 lasted me about 2 days and they bit the dust. I planned to not purchase any more of them..
@Katya - yes, it truly was 117 here. We've had quite a few 113 and 114 days too. I was getting my haircut the other day and a dude there waiting for his haircut said it was 117 at his place that same day. He lives about 20 miles South of Cresson.
It's said that memories are always better than reality. I 'remembered' having a good experience with NJOY NPRO (RN4081 thread) Cartos (back when I first began vaping 6 months ago) - yah, they're so freaking expensive - so anyway, I thought I'd do a redux back to them and try them out on the OG Puck.
They're SUCKY. Vapour production is weak (on 5 Volts) and they lasted me about 2 to 4 days each. I still have 2 of them left I have not started on yet, and one that I took apart and did a dry-burn then repacked it. Yeah, it was burnt black as coal on the coil and had some black crappy 'slag' stuff on it. The diaper, of course, was burnt black as coal...
Those are the L-A-S-T NJOY NPRO cartos I'll ever purchase. I'm a CE-2 510 vaper now. (But I might change my mind if those RoyalSMokers KR808D-1 Clearo CE-2s work as good as I think they might..)

The Resurrectors are the only cartomizers I know of that are Guaranteed. Call them or send them a note and tell them about the problems you have had. I am sure they will take care of you. Yours is the first post that I have seen that did not like them. Maybe a bad batch? Contact them.

I did that - got them from Hoosier E-Cig Supply. He was very good - he sent me another batch of cartos to replace my DOAs and then not only that, he threw in a free 510 atty to boot. Now that is customer service! Of the 2nd batch of cartos, I had about same DOA ratio, but since he had given me some extras and the atty, I let it slide. I was satisfied with his solution and believe Hoosier E-Cig Supply is a good vendor. Not complaining, but only posting results for other vapers to read about these cartos.
Happy Vaping, Y'all!

Good for you, I am glad you got replacements. I bought the actual named Resurrectors from Crystalclearvaping.com, they are the one thats guarantees their carto's, everything is FREE shipping. I looked on the Hoosier E-Cig Supply site, and I didn't see anything that even resembled a Resurrector carto' so what are you calling a resurrector from Hoosier??? Confused

Yeah, looks like you guys are talking about different cartomizers. Below, the Resurrectors (1.7Ω and, I presume, single coil?). Who makes them, BTW? Are those Smoketech?

15 C.C.V. Mega LR 1.7 Carto Deal (The Resurrectors)
The only LR cartos that Hosiers carries are the dual-coil Smoktechs:

dual coil cartomizer

Carry on...
You are right Katya, the Resurrectors are single coil and they work very good. Have not taken one apart yet but they last a lot longer than a standard carto. Maybe because they hold more juice they don't get dry and burn so easy. You need to try one and see what you think. For now its the best single coil carto I have used, that has filler material in it, and as a plus you don't need to fill as often. Great vaper with 70/30- pg/vg

I got these awhile back from Hoosiers. - "The resurrector is also known as single coil smoke tech 1.7 ohm 510 XL." He did sent me 2 dualies and I vaped them - they died in about 3 days, but I'm not sure who made them. I have not ordered from Hoosiers since, but I assumed they still carry what I vaped. BTW, I peeped that link that was posted from CCV and it looks just like what I vaped..

Hee hee...

The plot thickens...:)

Interesting. Maybe he stopped carrying them. My problem with 1.7Ω cartos, in general, is that I burn them in no time flat (exept for the DC cartos, but they are different as they consist of two higher resistance coils). I tried LR Boge, SLB and one more undisclosed brand (from CoV) and they all fried in no time.

I think you are having fun, and I hope so. LOL The only 1.7Ω cartos I have tried is the Ressurrector and it is 10mm or 3/8 inch's longer that a standard 510 carto, and so it holds more juice and therefor doesn't dry out a quickly, and I burn the devil out of reg. cartos, but these do seem to last me longer. I vape these at 3.8 volts or a little higher, maybe 4.2 volts. I enjoy your posts like always. I sense a little orneryness in you. LOL

I just popped in my last of the NJOY NPRO Cartos a few minutes ago. The other ones were burnt black as coal - some sludgie black crap on the coil. This after 2 days of vaping on it, and I have 3 cartos in rotation constantly, so it was not just a single carto vape during those 2 days...
Like, on the CE-2s I have, I have started watching the coil as I begin vaping it and after about 15 tokes, it's a dark brown on the coil. Doesn't take long after that to turn black...

UNFORTUNATE UPDATE:

Well, I tried to take apart my "Resurrectors" which was a complete disaster. I have never taken a carto like this apart before so I didn't have a clue and decided to take it apart like I did the clear dual coils. Well, that didn't work and I somehow pulled the bottom of it out and the wire that held the coil was popping out from the bottom of my carto.

Decided that I might as well pull the filler/rest of it out and in the process torn the diaper into shreds. Not going to post a pic since it's useless. What I did notice was a slight burn on the diaper but wasn't to bad. The filler was perfect with no marks on it at all.

So, I guess I'll dissect another resurrector when the time comes and post pics of that. I'm thinking in a couple of weeks or so. Next time, I'm getting a hacksaw and going all out on that little guy LOL

Also, I just got my Gold V2's in from IKV. My thoughts:

*First 510 horizontal coiled cartomizer I ever used.
*Inconsistent in design. To elaborate a little more. I bought one that had the drip tip attached to it and 10 additional cartos. The air tube (as seen in all cartos) in the one with the drip tip was pretty small. As can be here:

2011-08-10221040.jpg

Now, compare it to the other one I opened:

2011-08-10221112.jpg

*This would lead into the draw. The one with that came with a drip tip was obviously a bit tight (My best description is like drinking a milkshake through a straw). Even after I adjusted it with a flat head screwdriver. It helped slightly but overall, it was still a very tight draw. Officially the tightest draw I have gotten from all the cartos I've tried thus far.

The second one that was shown was much better. It's not as airy as a boge but, it was an easy and comfortable draw. Which gave a very nice vape and made me feel better as well. Thought I wasted money on some crappy cartos again.

*Flavor was very nice and IMO as with all horizontal coiled cartos.

* TH was ok and it's a little less than what I got from the IKV XL LR 808. I'm waiting for the ego VV batts to be back in stock before I try these at 4.2V and see if they improve then.

*As for the vapor. It's slightly warm just like a boge 2.0. Using the carto without the DT as a reference, it gives a nice plume of vapor just like a boge and resurrector.

Washvap, which Gold V2 cartos did you order?

Gold V2 Drip style:

IKV 510 Cartomizer Gold V2 Drip-Style

or just Gold V2:

IKV 510 Cartomizer Gold V2

If they have brass fittings and horizontal coil, they are most likely SLB. I don't much care for them. I got some months ago and the draw was so tight, they were unvapable, really. I reviewed them somewhere in this thread... I gave up on them. Isaac had a sale and sold them all for a buck a piece.

Now, these are supposed to be a new batch? Judging from your description, things have not improved much.

I really like his Premium Platinum cartos, which are basically 2.5Ω Boges, vertical coil.

Thanks for the review. Keep us posted.
