Sucky. I used a Dremel tool with mini cut-off deal on it to cut my cartos. I cut them about 1/4 inch from the very bottom of the tube where it meets the threads. Of course, the glued-on tape, or whatever that crap is they put on the stainless steel tube gets cut too - it's too much bother to mess with it whenever I want to just cut a carto open. However, the njoy NPRO cartos are easy - just pull the plastic tubing right off. Same for any clearos. Wish they were all that easy to rip open..

Washvap, which Gold V2 cartos did you order?

Gold V2 Drip style:

IKV 510 Cartomizer Gold V2 Drip-Style

or just Gold V2:

IKV 510 Cartomizer Gold V2

If they have brass fittings and horizontal coil, they are most likely SLB. I don't much care for them. I got some months ago and the draw was so tight, they were unvapable, really. I reviewed them somewhere in this thread... I gave up on them. Isaac had a sale and sold them all for a buck a piece.

Now, these are supposed to be a new batch? Judging from your description, things have not improved much.

I really like his Premium Platinum cartos, which are basically 2.5Ω Boges, vertical coil.

Thanks for the review. Keep us posted.

Hi, Mozart, welcome to the Burning Thread. :)

What kind of E9 did you get? Generic? Green Smoke? Red Dragon?

E9 (Kr808D-2), a close relative of the Kr808D-1, is not very popular here, for various reasons, but mostly because it's not considered to be a very good PV: it's expensive, the cartos are only so so, the batteries are mostly automatic and the whole system is not compatible with the most popular 510 and Kr808D-1 models.

That said, I started with GreenSmoke and used it for a while; it worked, but I ended up sending it back. I switched to the Kr808D-1 and then to 510... It seems you're going in the opposite direction...

May I ask why you switched? And why don't you like the eGo? If you tell us that, I think we'll be better able to answer your questions.

If you really like your E9, you can get generic cartos at leCig.com and see if they work better for you than what you're using currently.

You can also get adapters from the same place; D1 to D2 adapter will allow you to use better, stronger, manual kr808D-1 batteries with your E9 cartomizers.

D2 to D1 adapter will let you use your E9 batteries with KR808D-1 cartos, either Boge (and its many variations) or Bloog (and its many clones).

Either combination should be an improvement...

Whatever you do, keep your cartomizers wet at all times to prevent burning. E9 cartos can and should be refilled often.

Hope this helps.

I still really like my Boge 510 cartos:

Premium IKV 510 Cartomizer (Soft-Tipped) Platinum

The Premium Platinums are 2.5Ω and they are the most versatile; I use them on my 3.2v eGos and on 3.7v with great success.

And of course I love my 2.0Ω Boge 510s--a bit warmer vape, best for the lower voltage eGos and 510 batteries...

However, I've seen some complaints recently about a bad batch of the 2.0Ω Boge cartos, so who knows what's going on. I never had a problem with them.

I actually bought both. 1 v2 drip style and 10 gold v2's. I think your right though, all of them are horizontal coils. But yeah, I can understand why he sold them at that price. I guess it was all the good reviews and it being sold out for so long that made me buy 11 of those things.

Anyways, not sure if it's the new batch or not since I have never tried these before this. I have to say that these are the worst cartos I've used yet and the only one that I really dislike.

But no problem. Not sure how much more reviews I'm going to do on cartos in this thread. Since this isn't quite the place for that I don't think.

I'll definitely post some pics when I dissect another resurrector though.

Hi Katya, Not such what E9 it is but i order from .......... which I got my ego T from. I loved the ego T but I attracted too much attention using it in public and e-cig its banned here. So I try to get an e-cig that looks more like an analog for public use. But comparing both 1st day experience using ego t vs E9. If E9 was my first set, I would have a very bad impression on e-cig and stick to analog...

Not sure if I got a lousy set of E9, but the same juice taste very different on the E9 compare to the ego T which is easier to puff, smooth & can taste the flavour. Do I have to kinda run-in the carts for the E9? I bought extra carts as well compare the carts that came with the kit, inside is different. The standard cart dun have some metal rod holding onto the material inside, which is slightly easier to puff, the extras have a pipe looking thingy in the centre and a metal rod holding onto the material. Which is even harder to drag maybe dun to the restriction. Haiz... day 2 of usage still nothing good coming out.

Washvap, I'm so sorry you don't like them. As I said, I'm not familiar with the new version that you are using. I only tried the first batch, and it wasn't good. But if you're dissatisfied, I suggest you email Isaac at IKV and ask him if he would exchange them for you. He's a really nice guy and I think he might do it. My recommendation would be to get the Premium Platinum ones. I really like them.

Please keep us posted.

As for reviews, you're correct; this thread is not a review thread, but we do need and appreciate input from as many users as possible. AFAIK, this is the only ongoing thread about cartomizers in general. We need all the info we can get.

Thanks again for your contributions.

Well, you may try different cartomizers with an adapter, as I suggested in my initial response to you, or you can try a different setup altogether.

Since you already own an eGo, you may try getting a 510 battery and some Boge cartos (2.0 or 2.5Ω) or 510-T atomizer with tanks. You'll need a charger for the 510 battery, though: you can't charge your 510 battery with an eGo fast charger.

Or you can try a Volt (from Smokeless Image) or VaporSmiths starter kit--they are identical and a lot of people like them. I hope Natalia or Neo see this post, as they are our resident small battery users and they can tell you what works best.

I still don't know what PV you're using. Is there a reason you don't want to tell us what and where you got? It would make our life easier if we knew.

Appreciate your reply, good to know, I like them also. I wonder, have you tried the DC catomizers, and if so what did you think of them??

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
For 808's, I'm still using V4L cool carts and these which I do believe are Boge's:

KR808d-1 Cartomizer : Cartridge Atomizer | Cigarette Cartridge Pack | Blank Cartomizer | Cigarette Cartridges

I've yet to try a Volt mostly because I'm stockpiled up, being the sale shopper that I am. I can't complain too much about either of the carto's I use. They generally last as I would expect.

However, given the good reviews and the Bloog like clone aspect, I wouldn't hesitate to try it out if I were looking for a new vape.

Hi Katya, oops sorry I am quite new here. I may not really understand some terms. The PV I am using mostly now is Ego T unmodded which works for me ,only plan to use the E9 in public areas. The exact model of E9 I am not sure but this is the link:
http://www.........../shopping/products/5-E-Cigarette-E9/ .

Thanks for the mods recommendation for the Ego but think I keep the ego unmodded for now.

I did. I liked the metal ones I got from Madvapes--those were the nicest and best tasting. The clear ones I got from a different vendor were a mixed bag... I could taste the plastic, and the juice would turn muddy brown inside and that was pretty off-putting. Like someone said, they draw the amps like the LR cartos, but they feel more like vaping two higher resistance cartomizers--planty of vapor, not much warmth (on 3.2v and 3.7v, respectively). They are OK, but I prefer my warmer 2.0Ω and 2.5Ω Boges and/or my tank atties.

What Neo said^. Hi, Neo! The link doesn't work.

And I never suggested modding your eGo!!!!

I suggested trying Kr808 cartos on your E9 batteries or trying your E9 cartos with kr808D-1 batteries (with the help of adapters).

I love my eGo and use it with eGo-T type B atomizers or with Boge 2.0Ω cartos.

I like the Volts very much. And the price is right, too. Natalia also likes the VaporSmiths cartos, which I believe are the same as the Volt.
