ok, hi everyone. I don't have it in me to read all 500 pages of this thread.

can someone give me the cliff notes? I take it no one knows what the material is(anyone know someone in college chemistry that might be willing to test it for fun), no one knows what fumes are coming off, but it could possibly be bad. Have the suppliers responded at all? You would think they would care to find out if this is a problem. Seems like they could have a lawsuit on their hands in the future if it is.

what is the solution? what are you guys using now? I have a Volt(KR808). Was thinking about trying these: GotVapes VORTEX 2 808 BC Clearomizer - 1.2ml 2.4ohm 5PK

Sorry I have no cliffnotes - however, there are others far wiser than I on this thread, so I defer to them.
I can tell you that I use RoyalSmokers CE-2 cartos and sometimes diaper-and-wadding cartos I get in trade. But in my experience I have found CE-2 are best for not burning (that much). You can always see the coil and when it begins getting gunked up and/or blackened, then toss it and get another one.
I am NOT impressed with the KR808 cartos. 510 is more the way I roll.......
Just sayin'

Sorry, no cliff notes...

But you might want to look through this thread a little. You don't have to read 565 pages; just the last 200 or so... ;)

I do not much care about the Bloog and Bloog clones (like the Volt) because they have adhesive and silicone o-rings that can melt. But that's my personal preference. A lot of people use the Bloog cartos and love them. Keep them wet and discard at the slightest hint of burning. Take apart the used cartos and examine the filler. It's all trial and error, really. You have to find what works for you.

I like the Boge cartos for all my batteries; 510 and kr808. Never had a problem with them. I didn't care for the Vortex... but I only tried the first batch, so maybe they are better now. Did you watch BR's video about the new CE2s?

so speaking of chinese quality control...am I the only one that may have gotten a bad batch of boge LR cartos? The box that I'm working my way through really, really quickly is burning within the first 1-3 mls (even on a bottom feeder). I think they're 2.0 Ohms. I can usually run 6-10 mls through these...I'm hoping it's just a single box in which the filler is wrapped too tightly.

No, you're not the only one. I went thru 5 boxes of Boges and EVERY SINGLE ONE in each box SUCKED. Between: little vapour, burned out within a few hours, to DOA - well, I'm most definitely not a Boge fan. And the ones where you have to suck on it like a vaccum cleaner trying to pick up a bowling ball - no thanks. That was my first, last, and only experience with Boge. This experience was a few months ago. I can't remember which dealer I got them from, however, sorry. I vape with RoyalSmokers/MiT these days, the CE-2 cartos........

Hi, CES! Yes, Ive seen a lot of complaints lately about the 2.0Ω 510 Boge cartos, all over ECF. This is most disturbing to me too, as they are (and have been for a long time) my go-to cartomizers. Something is wrong.

I get mine from LF, and never had a problem, but I haven't ordered recently.

I suggest that everybody having problems with Boges contact their suppliers ASAP and let them know. If we don't report, they'll never know.

In the meantime, you may try the 2.5Ω Premium Platinum cartomizers from IKV:

IKV 510 Cartomizer Platinum STD

I'm pretty sure they are made by Boge and tweaked to Isaac's specifications. They vape a bit cooler than the 2.0Ω Boges, but I like them and never had any problems with them.

Or you could try the Smoktech 2.0Ω from LF. I never tried them, though. Here's an interesting conversation from LF forum. [When it doubt, contact ImYourSalt or Abe and ask them what they recommend. They are good people.]

I did contact the supplier and got a fast response. No one else had contacted him about any problems with the boges- though he'd wondered about it in June (which is when i bought mine). So far the curretn carto seems to be performing pretty well after making some holes in the filler with a 20 gauge needle.

I use syringe method to fill. If the syringe meets with resistance between filler and metal or the filler looks overstuffed, I take a hat pin (20 gauge would work too), and poke the heck out of the filler and all around the edges between filler and metal. I've found it does help the liquid penetrate and allows for better airflow.

Of interest to us.

The lab reported that the three diaper cloth samples I sent them, two from separate DC and one from a TC, all new and unused, were 100% cotton. We did not go to the expense of more test because analyzes of fumes from burning 100% cotton cloth have been tested many times and are available to the public. Don't want to say they are harmless, but feel a little better about what I am putting into my lungs. There are many variables when you burn a combination of chemicals, cloth and eliquids, and each would be different.

thanks for the link, it's good to know that at least some of the diapers are cotton.

I expect all of the diapers are cotton. Cotton fibers absorb liquids, whereas synthetic fibers do not. Therefore, cotton can keep the coil wetter where it is needed most. Try using something other than a 100% cotton bath towel to dry off with and see what happens, heheh.
