i know this is an unpopular position. popping is harmless in some instances but i'm not going 80/20 rule on this. waiting until the taste is bad? that works but reminds me of the ABC (Australia) piece on electronics reclamation in china. poor woman was burning and inhaling components to test the chemical content.

there's a wide variety of carto implementations. that's a good thing but the variance as far as safety is a concern. by wick channel i mean those where the wick effectively isolates the polyfill from the heating element. good cartos are not necessarily the acclaimed or expensive ones. i'm glad folks are testing these for themselves.
The wick channel you refer to is usually called the diaper, And that is what burns first, and like Katya said they all burn eventually.

thank you. i was surprised to find the 'diaper' design varied so much. i expected these to be all the same.

The 'diaper' design is the same. They are all made out of cotton. Popping is natural when we're talking about cartomizers and no, they aren't 100% safe. It's just safer to top them off often so they don't burn as fast.

EDIT: You might wanna take a look at the information that is here on this thread. Regarding horizontal KR808 cartos such as the Bloog or Volt. You might be surprised on what flaws they have in comparison with vertical coiled cartos.

No we won't! You love us, BR and you know that!

So good to see you again! How are you doing? How's Peggy????

I'm not doing so well, but Peggy is doing fine. We both had appointments with our doctors in the Houston Medical Center yesterday.

Her appointment was a post op followup for a cataract removal the previous day. Everything looks good.

My appointment was for the biopsy result of a large colon tumor. It's malignant and the doc wants to try reducing its size with radiation before removing it. This will require about 3 or 4 weeks of treatment, so I'm not looking forward to all those daily trips to West Houston.

Hi, Washvap! BR is special....

Back on topic! So what's the verdict on those Resurrectors? Anyone tried them? I keep hearing good things, but I'm thinking that 1.7Ω is awfully low for a cartomizer.... I tried 2.0Ω Smoktech single coil cartos and I liked them, but I didn't think they were any better than the Boges, and they didn't last as long.
