Good Lord, missMia!!!! you are on a roll today!!!:lol::lol:
I gotta go before I laugh so hard I pee my pants:D

oh by the way...I could be wrong...and probably am....but I thinkthink you can also adjust the draw by turning the slotted on the top of a battery...that is IF you have slotted batteries. It seems to work for me....but then it could be all phsycosomatic.

On a roll indeed! Oh my dear Murderous Miss MiA! How much more pain do you wish to inflict on me and my bird? May you be forgiven.

Anyway, my order from world something or other ecig is on temporary hold pending Yankee's investigation. There is some possibility (thanks Lori for investigating it) that their 4081 cartos may not be the same as SS, and since our new BFF Yankee voluneered to inspect them (thank you), I'll wait. There is another unknown in the mix I've discovered, and that is the fact that, TMK, nobody has actually tried the cartos from SmokeStik but Yankee, and he reported that they are different from the SmokeStik cartos we had bought from the discount smokestik. Yankee, can you confirm that? You wrote in your review that the cartos from SS have something inside that makes removal of the fill more difficult but still feasible.

When I have all this info, I'll order either from worldup or from the original SS site so that we can look at them all.

Tibur, I looked briefly at the 4081 carto's remnants that are on their way to Scott right now and I did see a burn mark. Lori, was that a burn mark? It might have been a dark stain from the tobacco juice, but it looked scorched to me. Sorry. This is a totally unscientific observation, so it means nothing. I don't know what it was, but I saw a brown spot.

And now, if I don't finish this paper that's due tomorrow I'll probably be fired.

TTFN.

PS...Riva....probably gonna get one from Eastmall.

Ok, Lori, Scott... don't wanna go like way totally OT (note that tin foil hats, BBQ'ing inappropriate animals and other purely ridiculous antics do not count as OT), but I just noticed that this new US supplier is carrying the Riva:

VaporJunction.com Grand Opening 20% off for ECF Members

The Riva (Black) [VJK002] - $59.95 : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply

(So 20% off of that I reckon :))

Ah they also have other EM stuff, including their LR 510 atties ($6.95).

Cool,Thanks missMia!

Katya....yes...in my ignorant opinion that was a burn mark. The thing fizzled out after I had removed the center wicking coil and then replaced it. I never could get the filling out without literally ripping it out because the atty fibers were placed horizontally through the filling and well as it being glued in. Which is why I had such a hard time with Yankees description of how easy it was to completely take apart, put bak together and then reuse...i just don't see it. At least not with the ones I got.

edit: holy cow missMia...why didn't you say they sold HALO e-juice!!! I trust them already. :)
double edit...where's the Riva...says product can not be found?????

Aw, see the thread I linked above the Riva listing -- he sold out already (and doesn't do backorders)! He seems on top of things tho, I bet he'll post an update as soon as he can about when he expects them to be back in stock... :(

Edit to add: I posted there to ask.

ok, first carto from trueman seemed to be done after 4 days so i took it apart. looks exactly like yankee's autopsy pictures including the very light brownish smear on the filler. much, much better than the 808 i took apart. don't see though how you could ever put it back together again. if i feel very patient i might try later on. i did not pull out the atomizer itself, so i don't know what kind of strands it has but definitely vertical, straight up. that was surrounded by a little white tube and around that the filler material.
btw trueman also has something that looks like an ego/riva for $55.00

Ummm...... this is a really good way to destroy (read: ruin permanently) a battery.

But your mileage may vary and not all of the laws of physics apply to aardvarks and anteaters.

I'm sure most of you don't know the painful history here.... but reading that honestly gives me the giggles.

And I rarely giggle since I quite the Vicodin.... ;)

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I don't even know what a Riva is.

What painful history? Pray tell.

A Riva is a PV system that uses a 750mAH battery, 510-style atomizer, and a "cone" that covers the atomizer (also changing the vaping characteristics).

I personally have a Riva (from EastMall) and am glad to see that Drew is going to be carrying them.

The rest is just drama. And although drama can be fun, regurgitated drama just tastes like.. well.. barf. ;)

Drew at Nhaler is also getting the Rivas.

...that threw me for a sec since before I posted the link to the new supplier carrying it last night, I had searched the Forum Suppliers section by 'Riva' to see if it was actually newsworthy or if others were/would be getting it, and nothing came up. Then I noticed Drew just posted the news this morning! Well gee, I sure didn't get to bask in that feeling of having uniquely improved the lives of those here for very long! :grr::D

...ahhhh, does this mean it was actually a matter of opinion as to whether it was, or somehow constituted, a double post in the opinion of a higher power?? Grrrr, I HATE missing things that weren't fit for print!! :grr:;)

My, I'm growling a lot already today.:D

The title of this thread, finally motivated me to record another dogey vid.

Check it out, no more burning carto filler.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...d-kr8-atty-510-vertical-atty.html#post1334776

['NF' = 'no filler' I think]
Btw guys, for those who also don't mind atties and dripping, do try Dog's latest 'mod' (tip/trick) here, which turns any unwanted/unneeded/otherwise-spent KR8 carto into an atty -- that can hold more juice and keep ya vapin uninterrupted for quite a bit longer than standard atties. (Some are also doing it with 510 cartos, tho apparently more care must be taken when removing the polyfil, and it's more leak-prone. Dog may eventually look further into this drip mod as regards 510 cartos specifically.)

Have a read over at the thread he linked; ppl are really loving this one. (Note that the video portion consists largely of demo-ing how long it was possible to blow clouds on a single juice fill.) I rarely throw any vaping-related stuff away, no matter what state it's in. This here kinda thing shows where pack rat tendencies can pay off, especially for those who simply prefer to shore themselves up against various doomsday scenarios. Hey, why the heck not. :)

Adding: Like all atty dripping, intended for use with (sealed) manual batts, not autos.

oops....so then....nevermind! :)

re the vicodin.....the last time I watched House was a couple years ago...good grief man..how long does it take?!@?>?!?! it only took me 3 months to get of Fentanyl.....but that was using the ART system. (alchohol replacement therapy).

And the Riva is relevant to this thread...sort of....If I buy one it would be for my hubby and he will definately want to use cartomizers. So knowing if and how they work would be valuable. My only worry with the Riva and Mr lorikay13 is...well...uhm....isn't a little efféminé as it were?

No.. it was a double post.. although both posts weren't actually identical (strange, but true)

And I personally caught the double post.. leaving only the requisite post-edit nub.

The disagreement will revolve around what caused the double post, and who/what the guilty culprit is/was.

Duck and I will not see eye-to-eye on this one. But that's not surprising.. after all, he is a DUCK. So maybe we'll see eye-to-kneecap.

All I know is that the cartomizers that are in transit now were purchased from Discount Smokestik (AKA Daisy Trading Post) and from Trueman. The Daisy cartos came in a box labeled SmokeStik so I assume they are indeed SmokeStik. Only Yankee would know for sure, as he's the only one who's actually used both.

On Yankee's carto thread in the SmokeStik sub-forum that you linked to recently (here it be), he had mentioned Daisy/Discount SmokeStik twice and directly asked Bill if that was also 'him,' and Bill said nothing on that note in response (tho he did continue participating there). Which to me makes it more likely as well that that is in fact 'him;' else I'd imagine he would have tried to discourage use of that site instead, to some extent anyway.
