btw - i got myself some stickers to dress up that plain old box. didn't want to go the expensive route but wanted to try nonetheless. love the looks of ces' altoid box but not the price ;)

I seriously contemplated getting the Little Sister once because it's tiny and inexpensive... Looks just like a Bic lighter.

That said, I'm getting enough Wattage from my Rivas and LR atties and cartos. I guess I'm one of those who don't like it hot...;)

well, the evercool vv came highly praised and at 40 bucks with free shipping it was not much more than buying the parts for diy ...... with the sale going it's at $36
the little sister runs on 10440s and to me that battery gives a very disappointing vape ...... wish somebody would come up with a perfect solution, oh well - gotta keep trying!

AS CES mentioned. REO's have a few safety features that prevent any catastrophic battery failures. Such as the collapsible spring. Also, the squonk hole also serves two purposes. One being the obvious and the other being that it is basically a huge vent hole to prevent any fumes/gases from building up inside of the mod itself.

Nice work, CES! Thanks for sharing with us! Very telling, indeed!

First of all, that carto looks very much like a SR Boge--my favorite carto ATM.

Secondly, you have finally provided proof that cartos are disposable, were meant to be disposable, and no matter how wet they are kept, that blasted diaper will begin to burn and disintegrate. That makes me actually very happy, because I have always believed it to be the case. I read testimonials on ECF from people who claim to be using the same carto for weeks and months...

This is exactly what my Boges look like after ~10 ml, sans tank (with a clear, clean ejuice). And I vape them just a tad hotter; 6.3 Watts vs yours 5.9 Watts.... So we may conclude that tanks double the lifespan of a carto! Impressive.

I looked at Gummy's tanks again and realized that he only makes large ones--5 and 8 ml. Which means I would have to get a box mod... However, I don't think I'll be buying any box mods anytime soon:

Please make sure your Altoid box mod is safe. I don't want you vaping a pipe bomb!

It is awfully cute, though! :)

tiburonfirst,

The Evercool vv is advertised as a 3.3-6.5v device... will it go below that? I have one of Ken's mods that'll do that but it heats up awful quick. I need 2.8-3v to be able to use some of my older cartos.

The only VV battery I know of that will work at 2.8 volts is this one:

VP Ego Pass-Through Battery

It only has three voltage settings, though. The highest voltage is 3.8 to 3.9, depending on the coil resistance. I'm using one at this very moment with a 3.8Ω coil and just measured the voltage at 3.9. That measurement was taken while it was in actual use.

Hey br!

I have on of Ken's vv box mods from Kens Boxmods that has a pot that goes all the way to zero, but it builds up heat fairly quickly. I was hoping to find a vv box with the newer evercool regulator that goes down to at least 2.8v to use with my huge stockpile of gen 2 CE2's (plastic cup). Ken makes a nice one but it's around $90.

How you doing buddy?

Yup!

You can also get a VV eGo or Riva battery for 20 bucks or so... They also can be dialed down to 2.8V....
