Tibur, just curious, have you tried the newer kr808 cartomizers, like the Turbos and/or the Megas?

no, katya, i have not tried them. the 808s i have only came in april, how often do they become "newer"? looks to me as if we do the product research and if there is a problem then changes are made. wish manufacturers would do the proper research first.
btw i tried dods' nf carto mod. omg, all of a sudden my automatic battery did not shut off anymore, blinking like crazy and the carto got real hot. you guys going to get me in trouble, lol!
also, since there was talk about the riva, trueman sells something pretty much like it, imo, for $55.00

Discount SmokeStik and SmokeStik are seperate companies, but carry the same product, as far as I can tell. Neither cartos have the filler glued in, as I understand (and will verify) the ones from wordupecig are. More on those when I get them.

...dripping is not the thing to do with auto batts! It's for (sealed) manual batts!! 8-o

Re the Turbos & Megas (or CigEasy 'Gold'), they are diff than the regular 808s, so it depends what and where you ordered. The aforementioned run at a higher resistance (= cooler); use better materials; are constructed a bit differently inside, so definitely do have a lessened frequency and extent of filler or wick burn. That's a big reason why they became so popular so fast.

Not according to Bill.He told me that unless you buy directly from him,ie:Smoke Stik (movie star) website it is possible that you are getting a bogus product packaged in his packaging although he can't prove it. (???)
Also..he said that they had tried USA made juice in their cartos(he did not offer to tell me exactly how they got USA made juice into cartos made and sealed in China) and that it was terrible so they "recalled" them from their affiliates but "someone" might still be selling them.

so...again...the question is does anyone want a verifiably authentic Smoke Stik carto to compare to what we are already working with? Yankee...I would be interested to know if you have actually talked to Bill and what he told you. Because if you bought your products from Daisy then according to Bill they may or may not be the same as his.

well, i just thought i knew better! mainly because i had been dripping and dipping with my m401s since i got them [2bats and 2 attys] back in february and all were still working great on monday. that's when i laid them aside to try trueman's cartos on a rn4081. btw. still happy with those cartos and my mind was at ease when i took one apart and did not see a burning issue. that carto i could not put back together and therefore used it to try dogs' nf mod.

Yankee said recently that if anyone had trouble putting a 4081 carto back together that he'd help; too late for that particular carto but sounds like some general re-assembly tips would be useful to folks, so...

now, anteater, play nice, lol i might not know much about vaping but i smoked about a pack of marlboros a day for almost 40 yrs. the 4081 cartos duplicate the smoking experience fairly well, better than what i have tried so far which is not all that much though. imo, they are good if you get beyond the prefilled flavor. and taking one apart i ended up with exactly the same results as in yankee's autopsy pictures. except i have no idea how he got the carto back together again

Ha, until I saw your post I hadn't realized I'd missed a couple up there. Yeah, while for whatever reasons I'm not one who ever did or does yet have interest in the 4081 cartos, anyone who's frankly tired of whatever others might see fit to discuss at various times should remember... they do have options there. Just skip whatever your heart desires. (Besides, much of any drama present has stemmed from assumptions about motives; and are we sure that is/was a suspicion shared widely here?) LK you also said recently that you "just don't care anymore" in general about this stuff; as such, it may in fact be better not to PWNC ("post while not caring").

It was after your review in Bill's sub-forum (on the thread I mentioned above, where he ignored your question about whether he was also behind Discount SmokeStik) that he encouraged you to post a review in the main reviews section, and rewarded you with *free batts or whatever (*not meant as any kind of point in itself; not an unusual practice -- Ben of V9 and surely others do it too). Honestly, wouldn't it be odd for him to do all that if in reality it wasn't even his own product you'd been talking about? (You clarified twice for him in that thread that you'd gotten yours from the Discount SS site...)

Just for the record; it's my understanding that Lorikay purchased her 4081 cartos from Discount Smokestiks and they had their filler glued on. [Tibur's cartos came from Trueman and the filler was not glued.] Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I still care and really want to get to the bottom of this. If somebody has an original SmokeStik from their site, maybe it would be worthwhile to send one of them to the Great Scott so he can compare all three sources. And Yankee, as soon as you confirm that worldup sells a SmokeStik (or a clone), I will order them and toss a couple into Scott's pile.

I got my first box of 4081 cartos from Discount SmokeStik. I did a review, solely because I felt these were great cartos. Bill (from SmokeStik) contacted me and thanked me (he thought I had bought mine from him I guess). He sent me a couple batteries and 3 boxes of cartos, and asked for a frank review of both, which I'll get to as soon as I can. If the DS cartos are not SmokeStik, they are identical clones, that came in SmokeStik boxes. Their physically identical, same vape, flavor, etc....Only ONE difference (if you want to count this) the ones Bill sent me where clad in a white sticker, the DS where in a black sticker. Of course we are all intellegent enough to realize this doesn't mean squat.

Now as far as getting things for reviews, how many videos have you guys watched on YouTube where someone (like Grimm Green, or Scott Bonner) states first thing in their review they got it for free? Nuff said.

"First thing in their review." It's a matter of timing. If they say it right off the bat, I'm fine. But, in all fairness, nobody had any problems with your getting some batts and cartos for your review. I got 15% of my next order from a supplier because I wrote something nice about his product. I didn't solicit it. Just got a PM, thank you for writing. Happens all the time. "The drama" here started with apparent misunderstanding about a store, not some freebies from a vendor.

Now I suggest we put this issue to bed.

I have only one request. If you could post here your findings re. 4081 from worldup, that would be really helpful. Are they Smokestik clones or are they different?

Do you find that these cartos perform better with a 4081 type battery vs. a different battery + an adapter? I only tried it on my kr8 and a 901>4081 adapter and it wasn't spectacular.
