okay kids...remember me talking about Vapors Etc....a new store that sells 510 and KR8 cartos and gear pluse handmade,USA sourced juice? And I said I bought the cartos just cuz they were cheap? Well guess what.....

I'm going to place my order after this. I did look at them on the site and they may be Kanger since Kanger is the one that use to use the blister packs like that. But hey I'll give them a try And the juice sampler looks good, thanks for suggesting it.On the Kanger note... I received my order from WordUp today and the Blank KR808 carts are in that same blister pack and appear to be standard Kanger cartos. Wire up through the center, not a coil. First one tested at 2.7ohm. I'm trying it out to see what it's like. It has ok vapor and flavor so far. Not as good as the SLB 510s or the 4081s though. I also got the blank 4081 cartos and so far the first one I'm using is pretty darn good. If I can keep from burning them, for $8.99 they're a good deal. The ohm reading on this one is 3.0.
Lori how close are those special 510s you were testing? We going to see those anytime soon? I'm anxious
Bianca... I can't add much more to the LR carto discussion that hasn't already been said. More heat, more chance to burn. However I will comment that you are over filling your cartos if you are putting in 40 drops. Cartos of any type will work much better if you don't over fill them. Do not use the condom and spin methods. Just drip down the side and depending on the carto 20-30 drops at the most. Ok just my

I asked him twice, I still have the email. He assured me they had a coil and not a wire. That pretty much does it for me. I was wondering about them, that blister pack got me thinking. They looked like standard Kanger cheapo cartos.

I put in 25 and it's vaping great!! I just topped it for the first time and got in 15. I'm running it on my Buzz at 4.2 volts.
I have some really cheap KR808s that don't work at all and at least these are better than those LOL I have one on a Lazer mod and only use it here and there so it's not going to get used hard. For that purpose they may be ok. Who knows they may have switched venders. They were out of stock when I first looked then when I went back a few days later they had them again. I won't order them again since for around the same cost I can get the V4L CoolCarts or the VaporNine Turbos. My order wasn't a total loss though, the 4081s are looking good and I got a 901-4081 adapter that I needed.
BTW did you see V4L is having another sale, and Steve announced they are working on Burn Proof cartos. Could be interesting.
Wordupecig 4081: I'm underwhelmed, frankly. Can't burn the thing, (yet! I can burn anything), but the draw is too airy and I'm not having too much fun with this carto. SmokeStik, Good Prophets and Trueman make far superior 4081 cartomizers, IMHO. But it's early, just one carto, maybe I got a bad one. Or a mediocre one.
I was very happy to see Steve's announcement that he's bringing a non-burning carto to the market. I also feel a deep satisfaction and a sense of a job well done. We have fought for over a year to bring this issue to everybody's attention and I think we've succeded. We're already seeing great improvements in this area. The Turbos, CoolCarts, SLB 510s, 4081s are all highly burn resistant and can be used safely with minimal risk of inhaling nasty fumes. Except in cases of, inevitable, of course, user error. I am grateful to the folks who started this thread over a year ago and to all who kept it going.
And to our wonderful moderators who allowed this thread to continue in peace, even though things were not always peaceful here... Honestly, thank you, guys. I know you must have been tempted, on occasion, to just use your padlock... You never did and I believe it was the right decision. Thanks.
EDIT: Ok, I couldn't help myself. I ripped my wordup carto apart: no burning whatsoever, no top inner tube (a diaper/blanket instead), batting not the same as in other 4081s--longer, fluffier, more polyfillish. Yes, it is a word.

ok, so if i understand right no 808 carto has so far been found with a coil design? i'll keep holding off with getting kanger batteries then.
on a different note, our trueman order came in and, to my surprise, with 2 different design 4081 cartos. cs emailed that the wired ones are the newer design. have not tried one of those yet, will let you know

Even though the standard cartos dont produce much vapor, i always thought they gave a great Throat Hit! That's my biggest complaint with the CoolCarts. vapor is great, its just to hard to get a decent hit.

I agree they are airy, but I like that so that part doesn't bother me. I thought the batting looked different, more like the SLB 510s but that's only from looking into it from the top so I didn't want to say anything. Mine is still going good after 24 hours. Funny thing, I started a SLB 510 at the same time on my Chameleon and I burned it last night *sigh* The 4081 is on the Buzz with a constant voltage of 4.2v and no problems with it yet. I've been using them pretty equally so not sure where I went wrong with the 510, but the burning did happen on the first drag after a battery change.
Actually an 808 with the coil was found and was said to have come from WordUp. What I think happened is that they DID have 808s with the coil and when the got in new stock they were not the same design. Most sellers don't even know there are different designs. It is probably an honest mistake and they just don't know these are not the same. At least that is what I'm going to believe for now

The ones I got in the mail yesterday are standard Kanger 808 cartos in a blister pack. I ordered on Tuesday. Who knows you may get something different
I'm using one, it's not horrible, but I'm only using it lightly because I know I WILL burn it if I use it like I normally do.I only got the 808s and the 4081s so do not know anything about the 103s, sorry can't be of help there.
Did you get the 808 or 510 cartos from CigEasy? I know their 510s are the Boge ones, but don't know what the 808s are. Keep us posted. My first 808 kit came from CigEasy, but that was many many moons ago LOL

Follow up on Vapors Etc... I ordered at 1:36 am Saturday and had a shipping notice less than 12 hours later. On a Saturday!!!! Monday shipping would have still been fast in my book, but on a Saturday, holy cow!! Ok I'm done being in shock now

For those who may be tracking resistance, from a pool of 25 KN4081 cartos:
1x 3.1 Ohms
2x 3.2
18x 3.4
3x 3.5
1x 3.7
he had taken 25 through the co-op and apparently measured them all

Well I'm not up on manufacturers, but the 510 cartos from liquidxpress are fantastic in my book. Their honey flu cured is my new favorite! Haven't tried refilling yet, but the pre-filled ones are great. Shipped from CA to NY in 2 business days.

I got the KR808d-1 cartos from CigEasy. I also bought my first KR8 kit from CigEasy! that was before i switched to V4L. but it appears as though I've come full circle.

My theory is that there is less voltage as your battery drains so less heat and with less heat you do not realize how dry the carto may be. When you switch the battery you jack up the heat and if the carto is too dry for that heat then it burns. Just my theory. I've made sure to top the carto at the same time I made the next battery change and no problem burning this time.
I was dissapointed in the 808s too as I was wanting something different, but oh well, it was a try.
I also went to V4L in the next step of vaping, but when they switched to the premium cartos I had a violent allergic reaction to the filler burning in them and had to stop. I get an allergic reaction to any carto that the filler has burned in, but the V4L premiums were the worst. I still use a couple of their juices though and Katya had sent me a CoolCart that I had no problems with as far as burning goes. I may try more of those since they are having a sale.
While you are here, do the 103s have the same threads as the 4081s? I was going to get more of the 4081s from WordUp and a couple spare adapters, might try the 103s too if the threads are the same.

First what color are the threads? Second if you take off the top and look inside is there a wire you can see coming up through the center?

Vapor Kings SLB 510 cartos are called low resistance which measure between 2.7 and 3 Ohms.
Are these cartos any different than the ones sold by litecig & ikenvape?
I do have the vapor kings SLB cartos and they do measure at around 2.8 ohms and I was just wondering if the other SLB 510 cartos sold by others also measure at the same resistance.
To me the sweet spot is anywhere between 2.5 & 2.8 ohms (using a 3.7 volts battery).

caveman who did the measuring had 4 5packs of the coil type, and 1 5pack of the type where i could see the wire running up the middle.
strangely enough, the latter was called the newer design by trueman cs
I don't see where they say LR on their cartos, but I did see where it says 2.7-3.0 ohms. Product Code: 510-CARTOMIZER-BLANK-SLB
I haven't personally tried those, but they should be the same as the SLBs from IkenVape and LiteCig, other than they cost more.LiteCig has them for a dollar less and free shipping on orders over $15.
LR cartos are usually 1.7-2.0 ohms and should be used with extreme caution as they do burn very easily.

ww, please pm me your address; i thought i would have enough to send cartos to katya, lorikay, you and yankee but the received order was short.
what i thought i'll do is send one to you and one to lori, katya has gotten a trueman before and yankee seems to be a little less active lately. hope he'll forgive me!
i just don't think i'll order from trueman in the near future, this co-op turned almost into a nightmare, i'm not looking to repeat.
