Burning Coil

I have and ipv 3 and sometimes my coil burns while I still have a wick and juice in. Why is it doing this?

Are you using pre-made coils? Are you dropping juice in the coil to "prime" it?
If it's working fine, then suddenly tastes burnt, that's probably a dry hit.
What tank (RTA/RDA) are you using?
What VG/PG ratio is your juice?
How many watts/volts is the IPV set for?

it's happend to me on 2 different mods, ipv mini and a kpv 180. I'll use 6 wraps on my mini and 8 on my kpv. I'm just wondering if my wicking is wrong, (creating air between the wick and coil or too tight of a wick) and creating hot spots throughout the coil.
