Been vaping exclusively for 2.5 weeks. Today I tried a new juice that was very strong.... Like licorice strong. Since then I've not been able to hit my ecig. My chest burns and my throat burns even when I'm not trying to vape. Could the strong juice be the cause or is it just me getting sick and just so happened to fall at that time. Guess what I'm wondering is if any of you have had this happen this far into vaping. Thanks.

It may be your eliquid. Strong flavors, too much nicotine or high wattage can irritate your throat and lungs.

I suggest you switch to a clear, clean ejuice for now, with little or no flavoring, and see what happens. A nice soft menthol might help. And vape without inhaling deeply into your lungs, like you'd smoke a pipe.

Also, check the VG/PG ratio. Is it different with this licorice ejuice? And stay hydrated--drink plenty of water.

It is definitely your vape. There are very few coincidences. I too became ill from overdoing it. Since moderating my urges I am now symptom-free. In fact sometimes I try to overdo it again!

The new juice was a 20pg/80vg. I've been smoking mostly VG the last couple of days. Thanks for the responses.

The whole PG/VG thing is fuzzy. I have been on mostly VG for a couple of months and I don't really feel like my lungs are improving much beyond the first month or so― which was quite dramatic―but big PG concentrations may give me a rash. I like the big cloud of VG but miss the supposed flavor of PG. I don't know. I just wish there was something else―maybe VP?

That' why most of vapers use blends, usually 70/30-50/50 PG/VG.

The best of both worlds. :)
