I don't think it is really this healthy... I've been vaping for 2 days, and my throat is hurting, plus I've been having phlegm that I didn't use to have. My friend thinks the same thing. Could it be the juice? I ordered a cheap bottle from China... Around 10$ for a 30ML bottle. Any ideas why it is this harsh? It's a 18MG PG bottle.

I do notice that when I let my friends try it (all smokers) they cough even though they smoke stuff like wides and other harsh cigs. A dry mouth/throat is not uncommon especially with VG juices. Personally I had a lot more crap I was coughing up in the mornings after first switching but now I never cough up anything anymore.

ABSOLUTELY it could be the juice !!!

I have bought "Bargin" priced juice before and some of it is piss-poor.

Also, some people react to PG based juices. If I was you I would chuck the bottle of juice you have and try a US company that sells VG based juice.

I have bought from both of this site and found their juice to be top quality.

One note: You are going to go thru some withdrawls from ciagrettes for a few days. Not sure how much you smoked or how long but for me, pack a day for 20 years, it was about a week. Now I have never felt better.

Are you vaping a 510 by any chance? I can attest that when I switched to a 510, I noticed if it is running dry, the throat burn is VERY noticeable. If I continue to vape it like this, I get a real bad sore throat. Finding the right juice flow from the cart to the atty takes some trial and error and patience. Different cartridge mods help, but I ended up just getting drip tip(s) in the end. Now I just drip 2 drops every 3-6 hits. If I am flooding I know it. If it starts to taste off or harsh, I drip again. If I am in a position I can't drip, I put a cartomizer on and use that, like when driving, or will use a cartridge for a short trip.

I found VG creates more flem with me. PG doesn't bother me. I finally have settled on a mix 80/20 PG/VG.

there is a learning curve to vaping and it is not like smoking cigs.

could be the atty is not wet enough when you vape or nic content too high.

I dont really like China juice myself.. You didnt mention what the nic content was or if it is PG or VG based. I am assuming it is PG.

You might try a mixture of PG and VG with around 11-18mg content and see if that is much more to your liking..

Good luck and hang in there,, Vaping is good. You just need to find the right juice..

You do know that most US e-juice are from China or contain China e-juice partially right? Right?

Right. Go with Aroma eJuice - made here, sold here, and the price is right ;o)

Seriously, it sounds like a reaction to the juice - the worst I have experienced yet is a burn when the atty is dry (never happens anymore ;o) .... ) and cottonmouth when I am vaping just a little too much ) ....

Most of the time I found I was inhaling srtaight eliquid. Try blowing out the cart and see if there is any liquid showing below thye intake holes. Another thing I noticed, If you try to draw on the cart for a long stretch, such as nine seconds or more you will get some hot steam from it . I draw five seconds then let the switch off and keep drawing for another four seconds just getting air through the atty. This makes for a smoother vape. The last was with a manual battery. It is harder to do with an auto battery. Just decrease the pressure for the last four seconds. Takes practice. Good luck.
