burning through liquid faster with a 2.5 ohm coil head than i did with a 2.2ohm head

i bought a kanger mT3S and it came with a 2.2ohm head. that thing worked like a champ until all i got is dry hits. so i put in a 2.5ohm head and it started burning through liquid faster. is this supposed to happen with 2.5ohm heads? if so im not purchasing 2.5ohm heads any more.
