Burnt my lip!

Newbie lesson #1-(Learn from my stupidity!)

Don't blow on an atty that has been used for dripping while you're doing the dry burn cleaning! Holy cow it popped up on my lip and now I have a blister on it from the hot juice! OMG how stupid can I be?? Any ideas how to soothe the pain of a burn on the upper lip?? This is worse than any fever blister I've had. OK off to put ice on the lip............May the laughing begin

Ouch. That's all I have to say about that. I really can't think of anything other than ice that could help such a sensitive area like lips.

All I can say is................the atty can stay caked up with dark liquids and I'll just use a new one from now on!

Thanks Col. I put some aloe stuff on it and it's not burning quite as bad now. Lesson learned here!

Dab some Lavender Essential Oil on the blister. It will dull or get rid of the pain but also keep from getting an infection (especially if that sucker pops.) Also, it will speed up the healing time. Aloe is also good for burns and burn pain relief but being close to the mouth I would advise against it as it is not good to ingest. Worse come to worse, grab some tooth ache gel and dab that on... it will at least numb it... Hope this helps, and hope it gets better soon.
