Have a manual Pt for my 510, just now started getting what I can only describe as a very "burnt" taste when vaping. Kind of plastic-y?

Checked the cart and made sure there was juice, even added a few drops. Atty looked ok, but there was a little brown particle of something inside. Tapped it out and switched atty. Taste still there. Tried it on battery and taste is better now. Cleaning that other atty at this time.
Any ideas? I had the impression the PT was too hot maybe? Is that possible?
Using Backwoods Brew 0 nic juice.

Interesting. The only time I seem to get a burnt taste is when my filler is dried out. What are you using to clean your atty's?

Also, if you get ANY brown spots in your filler, I suggest not reusing that filler - my limited experience has already shown me that once a filler is "burnt" - excising the brown bits does not entirely eliminate the burnt taste.

I don't drip (yet) but I wonder if dripping would completely eliminate the "burning" phenomenon?

I'm thinking it may be the cart as you stated.

I checked the edge that inserts into the atty against my other carts and there is the ever so slight bit of difference. Not as smooth as the others.

I have it on the PT now. I did not insert it as far as it can go. I noticed that I had exert harder than the other carts to get it flush fit.

working and tasting fine now that the cart is not fully inserted/seated.

I have been thinking about dripping but had questions. mainly what affect it has on atty life and proper technique. I suppose I should look in the ECF library huh?

Yes, look in the library, I think there's a thread there on how to do it. I love dripping. I like how I can easily change flavors (which I do a lot) and it tastes better. It does take some practice to get right, but once you figure it out, you'll never go back.

The edge being a bit different is exactly what I was talking about. Glad you figured it out.

Did you try using tweezers to pull out the fiber strands stuck in the 2 holes at the bottom of the atty, right next to the bump that is the heating element? There are a few strands in each hole and I pull them out right away before using even, and the bad taste goes away. I think these are there to prevent liquid flowing in the wrong direction, but my atties seem to work fine.
