I like a compact ecig when I go out. It fits in my pocket and doesn't weigh much. It's usually my eGo that goes with me away from the house. I don't flaunt it, but vape normally. There's not much vapor if I use PG juices and that prevents attracting attention.

Someone posted recently that their friend went to a hockey game with him right after starting to vape and blew out huge exhales of VG vapor all over the crowd until someone complained to a security person. The result was a ban of vaping anywhere in the arena except in the smoking area right after the incident. He's upset and has banned his friend from attending free hockey games on his season tickets! Now, he has to walk all the way around to the other side to reach the smoking and vaping area.

My fear is that enough cloud blowing vapers in Walmart might result in complaints that cause them to ban vaping in the store. As the ranks increase, the chances are greater that we will finally lose the privilege unless we are courteous. Other stores will surely follow Walmart's lead.

While vapor isn't bad for others, having plumes of it around them is annoying. I will vape in a pub at a table with friends as I know they don't mind, I won't blow out clouds of vapor as the server approaches or patrons walk past as it is just rude imo.

Being proud is one thing, being annoying to others is another ^^

This is a good point. In crowds we need to be courteous, otherwise there will be a backlash against us, and public sympathy for our plight will go out the window.

All good responses. I have never tried vaping in a store, but in the car I don't hid it at all. On the subject of backlash and public acceptance I have a few things to add.

I really don't like to hear someone on the forums here saying "I'll take another toot". We all know this is a ....... reference and doesn't help the cause that this is not some weird drug sub culture. I know no one means it that way, but still, it's not helping. No offence danes.

I also with not refer to cigarettes as analogs. It does not upset me, but it's a bit of a candy coating. They are dangerous, we all know that, and I will call them what they are. I don't feel any need to put cute nick names on anything we do here. Be honest and up front and respect just may come our way.

Just my 2 cents.

Note: The drug in question was edited by the forum.

I was using my Reo Woodvil while stopped in a left turn lane. The driver to my right started honking and bouncing up and down gesturing to attract my attention. I looked over at him and he screamed "[name of illegal green substance]", shaking his fist in the air like he was a fan of consumption of said substance, as traffic in his lane started to move. He drove forward a few car lengths, stopped, came halfway out the driver's window and yelled it again, fist in the air and very happy - sounded like I'd made his day (?). Extremely bizarre.
