Hey all, I've got a quick question. I've had my manual standard size batteries for a few days now and I've noticed that the button doesn't stick as far out of the tube as it did before. Although it still works for now, the button has settled in at an angle and the lowest side, if it settles much more, will be flush with the tube. If that happens, my fear is that it will stick under the tube when depressed. Is this something to be concerned about? Has anyone else had a little settling and it went no further or has anyone had one settle to where it became an issue?

I have the same thing going on with a manual reg that's about 10 days old. Noticed it while vaping this morning it just didn't pop all the way back up for some reason. I've never torn apart a battery so I'm not quite sure how the button is configured to attempt a fix or if it is possible. I was able to use a sewing needle to lift it up a little so it's flush with the tube. It works intermittently, you kind of have to hit the button at an angle and find the "sweet spot".

Does yours look like this Tracker II?

My manual Passthru looks like the pictures. The bottom of the button is sunken in more than the rest of the button. But I have had it awhile (a few months) and it still works no prob. I actually didnt even know it was like that untill I just now looked at it :) .. I do know that when I apply pressure to the button I have always stayed to the middle/top of the button, for that is where it seems to like it.

That's how mine looks SnowDragon. When I push down on it now, the lower side is flush with the case so I'm afraid that if it settles any lower it will go below the case and, staying at an angle, get jammed in the on position.

But that's the least of my worries right now. I just charged up another manual battery for the first time ever and it works intermittently - more not working than working. To make matters worse, the USB passthrough I just received doesn't work at all as the post is too narrow and the cartos slide right down over it with no resistance (think of sliding a 1/2 inch nut over a 3/8 inch bolt).

I don't mean to come off as a V4L basher here, but right now I am running pretty scared as I am on my 11'th day without a cigarette and, if all my stuff breaks down, I know that I will go right back to smoking. Actually, I'm fighting a fairly strong urge to go down to the station and buy a pack right now. The evil side of my brain is saying, "Hey, your Marlboro's never let you down like this, so let's put this silly experiment back in the box where it belongs". And I know this stuff is under warranty, but what's the point of spending my time and my money to send this stuff back if I just receive more bad product to have to send back all over again? This is not a true solution to me. At least that's what the evil side of my brain is telling me.

Lord help me, I'm feeling pretty down right now and I do not want to go back to smoking.

I had one battery with this issue. It's fixable without taking the battery apart. Blow out the button using an air duster (or if all else fails, your mouth), then massage the button. Don't press hard enough to activate it, just kinda rub your thumb over it. The button should realign itself.

And when you blow out the button take off the carto.

Whatever you do TrackerII DO NOT PANIC!!!

Click on this link Tracker II, http://support.vapor4life.com/ and they'll get you all squared away.

Your p/t issue sounds weird, never heard of anything like that before. As for your other battery, the post has probably been pushed down, from screwing it into charger a little too far. The battery connector is quite pliable, take a thumb tack or paper clip, place it in the post hole at an angle, then pry it up one side then the other. This should get the batt to work correctly by making a better contact with your Carto.

V4L always takes care of it's customers, I never worry when these things happen.

hey man, i think you just got a lil unlucky. i just started myself, have gotten 6 or 7 batts, and many cartos. i have had to mess w prolly 2 of the batts, bringing the posts up a little. but then again i have been twisting them into the charger too hard, which pushes the post down.

i have had to fix a few cartos, unscrewing them to the left by 1/4 a turn. works like a charm.

ok so this isnt a mercedes when it comes to craftsmanship...but that doesnt make all for naught...you havent had an analog for 11 days? think about what a little miracle that is!

in my opinion, the withdrawal of whatever else is in the analogs besides nicotine is messing with you.

v4l has stellar customer service. i have seen few companies that compare. hang in there, i am sure they will make it up to you and take care of you...

Thanks for the replies everybody. When I posted yesterday, I clearly hit the panic button and a bid contributor to that is the fact that I am suffering from extreme insomnia due to nicotine, and whatever else is in analogs, withdrawal. The two nights that I actually felt like I was in a good deep sleep were interrupted by my wife snoring unusually loudly on the first night and my son yelling out due to a nightmare on the other. Being sleep deprived was one thing, but having my new pacifiers fail pushed me over the edge and I was getting panicky for an analog (or 5). Sorry for the over-reaction and now that I have some free time today, I am going to contact V4L.

Thanks for your posts which helped to settle me down and, oh yeah, I didn't cave in to the evil analog and am now on day 12!

SnowDragon - yeah, I did get the post lifted a little on one battery. The other I had to send back as it just had a life of its own.

Sweetblackkitten - Melatonin is on my list of to do's. I have a bottle now but it's a year and a half past expiration date.

DawnsFolly - thanks for the congrats. Maybe I will be able to SOTP smoking after all, lol.

And thanks to V4L for the lightning response on my ticket!
