Buyer Beware - Uvapeit is a scam

So I ordered 2 30ml bottles of DK-TAB from Uvapeit on May 25th, paid via interac money transfer, and recieved notice that it was paid. The shipment was not put in the mail system, then the mail strike happened. That was fine - I expected at least a message from the supplier explaining the situation. I have tried contacting tis supplier 8+ times now, with no reply. The mail strike is over and I still have not received confirmation that my order has been shipped. I have further tried to make contact with Uvapeit with no success. Looks like I'm out $50. Don't do business with these shysters.

Well, that's bad news - but there may well be a genuine reason.
But, I am intrigued - their website says 30mL juice is $18.50 - so how are you out $50 on 2 bottles? Additionally, I can't find a listing for DK-Tab there.

Its probably $37.00 plus $13.00 shipping. Or maybe, like my wife, she rounds up when I spend money.

ETA: Hmmm, I don't know why I said "she". Could be a "he".

How do they ship? I just got a NicFitNation shipment that went out 48 hours before the strike, via ExpressPost, today. That's one day after they started delivering mail again. Normally, I can get my package in as little as 2 days. I'm guessing the backlog slowed it down a bit.

Maybe you just need to wait a day?

I actually made the order on May 25th - the postal strike didn't start until almost two weeks later. My order was $37+$8.50 shipping + tax, so yeah, I did round up a bit. My point is that even if they did run out of stock and are holding my order I sure would have appreciated a response to my queries - I'm a pretty easy going guy, but it's sure no way to run a business.

I could swear I've heard another Canadian member mention they got ripped off by them as well, but its been some time. I agree that it could be in limbo as a result of the strike but there is no excuse for 8 e-mails to be ignored. Do keep us posted.
