Buying 18mg base and adding flavour?

Hey guys! Do you reckon I could just buy an 18mg unflavoured base and then just add some flavour and it'll be good to vape? I was thinking about buying this:
Buy 18mg USP Grade Unflavored Liquid Nicotine Base

Then just buying some flavours? I'm the UK so if anyone knows any retailers who sell an 18mg base that tastes good, that'll be great! Also, where should I get flavours? I'd also like to know how much flavour I'd need to add for a 30ml bottle.

You can do this, vapor renu sells base this way. Keep in mind that adding flavor will make the nicotine lower. I would suggest that you get a 24mg base to end up with a 18mg end product.

Okay, lets say I had 30ml of 24mg base, how much flavour would I want to add to that?

Yes you can. That's how I started my DIY, then I got this for mixing ----->eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator
I now mix 80% VG because most of my mixes are 20% flavoring (sorry American spelling) Lol. Most flavorings are PG base,but you can find other based flavoring.
If you like a mix of PG and VG then the calculator will help with the mixing.
I believe that you can vape up to 3.6 or 36 mg safely. Anymore you probably kill yourself .
I mix at 10% flavoring so 1ml flavor to 9 ml base does it. So 30ml is going to be about 3ml of flavoring. Start low and taste the juice and add more if needed. add Sucralose or Stevia for sweetnes. If your mixng Tobacco or Bakery flavors they will need time to steep for the flavor to age well. Won't hurt the other flavors to steep either.

That would be a 20% mix. Depending on the flavor I would try 4ml of flavoring to start then add if needed.

Okay, I'll add 4ml per 30ml then taste it, then I can always add more flavour if it's not strong enough!

Also keep in mind that different flavorings tend to mix at different percentages. I usually start at 10% on a new flavor and add more or less to taste. (unless the flavor mfg suggests a different starting ratio). Also as a side note Totally Wicked's flavors and base are really good and that is what I started with

You certainly can. I just recently started DIY and when I am testing a flavor in a small volume mix (3-5ml) I do exactly what you describe. Sure, the final product is slightly lower than 18mg, but it is close enough. I just have a bottle of 18mg unflavored I use for this.

When I make a larger amount, say 30ml or 60ml, I adjust my base, VG, and flavorings to come out to 18mg more precisely, but even that isn't really necessary.
