I am currently vaping on a Kanger Evod and wanting to move up to a rebuildable tank. I have been a lurker before I created my own account. I don't know if I should get a VV/VW or a mechanical mod, but I do like the kayfun style and the RRST. I am on a budget and need to know what's the best mod to get for a decent price and where is the best place to buy?

I have found I generally grab my mech mod and roll with that most times. I got my Smok Magneto v2 from a local B&M for like $50 with batteries, a charger, and a 20ml bottle of juice. On the other hand if I am sitting home watching tv vaping I tend to grab a vw mod. Can't really recommend a vw as my best only goes to 12.5 watts. iTaste 134 for like $110 from B&M. In the end if I was to start fresh I would probably just get a mech mod personally. Hana modz that is coming soon seems like it will be awesome for RDA/RBAs but that was $250 so not sure if that fits decent price in your mind.

Get a regulated vv/vw mod; they come with safety protections. Don't just get a mech mod unless you are familiar with safety issues and pay attention to your batteries.

I like my vamo alot because its so quickeasy to check battery voltage, coil ohms, and to adjust power level up or down depending on how well my coil is wicking.

I prefer the feel of my solid zmax in my hand but the vamo is what I actually find myself using because of the ease of use.

If time is not an issue RBA, RDA and RTA clones are inexpensive from Fasttech (directly from china) -3-4 weeks typical for my deliveries.

Clones that have performed well for me include: IGO-L, IGO-S, Kayfun/kayfun Lite.

VV/VW devices are the only types I presently own and all Innokin brand - all vv/vw devices.

MVP 2 - $40ish and a great workhorse of mine. For out and about/stealth their itaste V3.

Just because - I also have their EP, SVD and 134. All are performing great - only heard of bad reviews from some with SVD (fire button) and 134 turning itself off sometimes.

Their are dedicated threads for the MVP 2 and V3 for many other persons comments on these models.

Faster and the same price to just buy Innokin devices on ebay usually.

Go with the Kayfun, Russian 91 or other clone. That design is really good. For the mod, I like VV/VW for these. They really arent meant for sub ohm vaping, so you'll get a better experience from a regulated device. With mechs, the vape starts hot and cools as the battery diminishes. With VV/VW you can set it and it will be the same from the first vape to the last.

I like my mechs over my VV/VW mod.

my brass m16 has been great and I have a brass astro clone coming soon.

as for tanks, I had a rsst and gave it away, I wanted a tank for going out with and its to leaky for that. I have a kayfun lite now and its awesome or a tank set up, still like my drippers more but teh kayfun is a solid unit for sure.

Thanks for all the help. I have been eyeing the kayfun lite rsst and the agi. What wire should i use and where to get it. also i have noticed a lot of people on here say not to get batteries from fastech. any reason for that.

was some issues with shipping and batteries and ejuice were getting shipped back to fast tech. besides that IDK. I have 2 panasonic ncr18650pd and my brothers has the sony vtc4 batteries from fast tech and they are working flawless.
