I really like the Vivi tank. I have used the tank for a couple of months since they came out. I like the 2.8 ohm heads best in them. Very consistent vape. As cheap as they are you might try both to see what you like best..

I havent ever tried the DCT tank but will most likely get one to see how they vape. Good luck.

Vivi Nova. Never used the dct's but I have no issues with the Vivi Nova stock. Your twist will let you use all 3 heads supplied with the kit and replacements are only a couple bucks. they last longer than cartos as well. Some people swear by their carto tanks. I just have no experience with them. my nickel's worth...

I use both. But I don't use dual coil cartos in tanks. You don't have to buy the replacement cartos. I get the xxl boge at crystalclearvaping and use and hammer and sharp screw to punch my holes. The xxl boges are longer enough to fit in the dctanks and be sure to get them in stainless steel, not with the black stickers!

Carto tanks can have a learning curve though.. some are able to get them to work with no problems while others can't seem to get the hang of it. All carto tanks work on vacum and air pressure...as long as the carto itself wicks well and the tank doesn't have any air leaks it should work fine. I sometimes have to take some dry pulls to get it wicking but then it settles down and wicks great. I use the cheap dctanks with no problems. I condom fill, then put it in a tank and vape. One punched hole works well for me (I use 70% PG and 30% VG mixes). Also, some tanks are made of polycarbonate, which can crack with some juices.. the one's I linked are supposedly made of polypropylene, that doesn't crack. But I don't use juices that are known to crack tanks. If cracking is a real problem, a phiniac tank is a good tank. they may be rather expensive, but if they don't break or crack, they're worth it.

I've just started playing around with the vivi nova.. it's a different vape than the boge in a tank. smoother, quieter. The VN likes lower voltages than the boge carto. I start at the lowest voltage and work my way up (with a new head). I don't mind tipping my device to keep the wicks wet as long as I'm getting a good vape. I'm not sure I'll buy anymore, I'm not that impressed with it out of the box.. but I think I'm going to rewick my heads with cotton and see what happens. They're cheap enough to mess around with as long as I've got something else that works good.

I'm pretty sure there's a couple of threads that say the dual coils aren't the best for the Twist. You could get the tank and put a single coil cartomizer in it, that would work well. And people adore the Vivi's, but make sure you get version 2.5.

I don't know if I "adore" the vivi nova or not LOL. It's a nice place to visit but I don't think I'd want to live there. ;)

and yes, single coils do better (for me.. the dual coils that I tried in a tank both flooded for no reason that I could see as far as the tank goes)

I like my vivi, on the whole, more than my DCT, at least with the smok dual coil cartos, which is all I've tried so far. I will try a single coil carto on the "DCT" too see what that's like, since I still use it as a backup -- but I'm satisfied with the vivi, and being able to buy pre-wicked bare coils for a buck each is sweet, and just the ability to rewick and coil yourself, is worth the (minor IMO) shortcomings of the vivi "out of the box" - I improved the flavor some just by cleaning the head. Though it's true that the first head I used without cleaning didn't taste so good at first.

The vivi works better for me at low voltage too. Even on the 2.8 I rarely go above 3.3v, and 3.0 is often perfect. So it doesn't work as well on my 3.7s as on a vv, but should work well on a twist I'd guess.

Don't get me wrong I've enjoyed the heck out of the DCT, but cartos in general are a little too inconsistent, at least that's my experience so far. They start off OK, then get really good, then get GREAT for a while, and then start to slip on flavor until they fail, though I've been able to put 20ml or more through a single carto before it performs unacceptably.

Whereas the vivi simply tastes good, if not perfect, almost every time. Just have to keep the wicks WET, especially when the tank gets low. And filling is a breeze. Though some fiddling, or perhaps luck, seems to be helpful.

On the other hand, while the DCT is a bit more complicated to fill, it does work without much fiddling in general, so that's a point to the DCT.

I found I ended up wasting a bit more juice with the DCT, but that was mostly the first few fills. I got better at filling after a while. The nova can flood, but seems less prone to.

They're both inexpensive, and if I had it to do over again, I'd still get both of them, and I'm sure I'm not done trying out different systems :) I want another nova, but I think I'm going to wait for the mini.

I vote for single coil carto in a DCT…been using them for a little while, and got the hang of them pretty quickly……the only issue was that I didn't realize cartos could flood when they were starting to fail.

I got a vivi nova on Monday and am anxiously awaiting my new carto shipment. The nova seems incredibly inconsistent……I'll probably keep it at this point, but it wont' be my A-vape compared to a cartomizer in a tank.
