Buying e-juice from the US just got more expensive.

Shipping charges are the biggest headache for me,I typically spend around $35 at a time (still looking for a go to), lots of vendors dont do 1st class intl(i dont mind the wait),so $12 or so shipping for $35ish of product is a bummer, typically i'll only buy from vendors who'll do 1st class, even that varies a lot,how can it?Some do 1st class for $3,others want $10,shipment weights are virtually identical.
Also, one of the slowest shipments to arrive was a Priority intl package (bumped up from 1st class by vendor),go figure.

WOW! I just checked MadVapes where I used to buy my juice before I went mostly DIY with Canadian suppliers. I loaded 110 ML of juice in three bottles (2 x 30 + a 50) at a cost of about $30 into my cart. Cheapest USPS shipping was $30. Last year it was about $4.50 for this order. Thanks for posting this varitablevoltage. Good to know what's up :2cool:

I had exactly the same experience a few weeks ago. I had been mostly alternating between a Canadian and a US supplier, but when I went to place an order with the US firm and reached checkout.... whoah! The shipping and handling was up about 40% from my previous order and was now more than the cost of the juice I was buying (around $40 worth). Unless something changes, I'll stick with Canadian suppliers (when I can find them!).

on edit: I meant to add, I emailed the US supplier to ask what was going on but they never replied, so thank you for enlightening me re the postal charges. I assume that's the cause.

I saw this come up with The Vapor Room. The USPS Priority rates for Canadian shipping have gone way up. And TVR won't ship anything international 1st class, citing too many problems with 1st class packages getting shagged by customs. So at least the vendors who won't ship anything but Priority to Canada have their reasons based on their experiences with the system.

All you really can do is budget differently. The shipping price won't change as long as whatever you order will fit in one priority mailer. It's gonna mean bigger orders spaced farther apart to get the most bang out of the shipping buck. :(
