A word of warning to anyone new to vaping and being tempted by the Ego clones from Chinese 'copyists'.
When i first started vaping i had so many requests from workmates on where they could get a cheap device to try out that i ordered 10 sets from China. Total cost incl postage was $250.
10 new converts to vaping at $25 each. i should get a medal !
I waited 2 months for the kits to arrive and eagerly opened the box to see my goodies. They looked identical to my genuine Egos.
I immediately plugged in a couple of batteries (which felt a bit lightweight but appeared solid enough). Oh Dear... both chargers literally melted after 10 minutes use (luckily i was keeping an eye on them). I then decided to have a really good look through all 10 sets.
In all i had 7 batteries which had obviously been sent out with major faults and i simply couldn't trust any of the chargers.
To cut a long story short i returned the lot at a cost of $45 and the supplier has denied recieving them.
Now i'm not saying that all chinese sellers are the same but this was an expensive (and embarrasing, when i had to tell my workmates their waiting was in vain) lesson for me.
Never buy direct from China unless you are covered by Escrow, Paypal etc.
So endeth this lesson.
