Buying my first kit

Hi everyone! Just registered here..

So anyway, after researching a bit, I'm going w/ the KR808D-1 starter kit..

I'm not looking to upgrade and I love the simplicity.

Here's what I'm looking to buy:
The manual KR808D1 Starter Kit
KR808D1 Starter Kit - Manual button

Is this is the best place to buy this kit? Or is there an even better kit out there I should know about for beginners that's not looking to upgrade?

I figure I should ask you guys first before buying anything :)

Thanks!!

Yes, the kit you linked your post too will do just fine. The battery life isn't too great but if you aren't a heavy smoker, you'll be okay.

that is what I was getting at with asking how much he smoked.

Carto's are great but if you aren't looking to upgrade I would suggest a bigger battery right out of the box.

"Act fast and you can pick up a T-Rex with two 1100 mah batteries for less than $30.00"
Holiday Sale 25% OFF Select Starter Kits
Batt Info:
100 mah= approx. 1 hour vaping.
The Kit you're thinking of has 280 mah batts so each one is good for about 2 3/4 hrs BUT realize performance takes a dive at 50% discharge.
Good Luck, Vapoor.

I don't know where Fountain Valley is, but here in NJ a carto of cigs is over $80.00. Even if it's not your forever pv, it's a start.

Cartos don't last very long. I'd get some empty cartomizer and some juice so you can fill them yourself. Even though more expensive, my Mom stuck with the prefilled for the first couple weeks. You could do that until you find a juice flavor you like.

I'm really tempted to pick one up for a spare.

I definitely recommend the KR808D-1 for a beginner, its a good ecig. You may also want to consider purchasing a PCC (Portable/Personal charging case) to recharge batts on the go. The 280mah will last 2-4 hours depending on how much you vape, so you will be recharging often however, with a PCC I don't find this to be a hassle.

Wow! Thanks for all your feedback!

So it looks like I need empty cartomizers:
KR808D1- Blank Cartomizer
And I need to refill with liquids such as these:
US Made eLiquid

Do you have any recommendation on flavors?

I'm not buying these for myself but for a someone else that's a relatively light smoker.

I recommend juice from a juice vendor. What flavors are you thinking of getting?

seems like the store i'm buying from has a pretty huge list? at what strength should i purchase for a light smoker? perhaps the medium strength 1.2%?

I want to get something that the general population would like.. I don't know what eliquid is the most popular for most people.. since I'm buying this as a gift, I can't be too creative with taste..

I myself was a light smoker (4-6 a day normal / or half pack on really, really bad day) and found that anything over 6mg was much too much for me, so for a newbie light smoker I would say 6mg.... you could go higher like 12mg (too strong for me), but if you find it too strong you would have to dilute it and I am not sure if a newbie would want to be bothered with that.

And as far as flavors goes, I think RY4 is definitely one of the popular and commonly used flavors ... The question is then, What vendor has the best RY4?? There is a thread titled something like " The best and worse of RY4 " , so search it and read up on the reviews from various vendors.

I would agree to start with a lower nic level of juice. I found that I end up vaping much more than I ever smoked and the higher nic level juices started to make me feel real dizzy after a while. Also be sure to get a spare battery no matter which kit you choose because its horrible when you want a vape and you realize your battery is dead.

if smoking 1 hour a day.. how much ml would I need? I'd like to get a year supply for eliquids that's why >:)

Hmmm that would be a hard thing to figure out. Like most people, the person you are buying it for will probably vape more then they smoked. Also i'd nix the idea of a year supply of liquid. Taste buds change and the person will find themselves wanting to try different flavors. Maybe buy a bottle or two and then buy the person a gift card for them to buy themselves more flavors.

Are you saying to get a 3rd battery? The kit he listed does come with 2 batteries already.
