i currently bout a smoktech magneto v2, i put a 18650 battery in it and have topped it off with the nautilus aspire mini tank using the bvc coils. when i first got it i thought is was perfect until the coil went bad, i thought it was just a bad coil and replaced it. everything worked fine for about 5 hours and then the coil went bad again. so far iv gone through 5 coils in about 3 days. i don't know whats wrong someone please help me.

when i say that my coils have gone bad i mean that there is much less vapor and it has a burnt taste, i have tried washing them in warm water and that doesn't work.

Are you priming the coils before you start vaping on them? The wicking material in these coils needs to be thoroughly saturated before using them, and it takes a while when you first load up a new coil. I like to drip a few drops of juice down into the coil where the mesh screen is then put the coil into the tank and let it sit for ten minutes (with the tank full). Give it a few unpowered primer puffs during these ten minutes. This should make sure you get the wick fully saturated.

What kind of juice are you using? PG/VG ratio?

I had the same problem when I was using tanks from time to time, and this fixed my problem. Same exact steps.

Yeah, all the above. Dry vape a coil and you can kiss it good-bye and no saving it. The wick is burned right through. Can get bad run of coils. I've had 2.1 coils hit 3.5 to as high 4.0 ohms on the meter. Also dual coils work better on the Vamo 5. (at 8.0W). not on the Mech Mods. Strange though.....My Turbine RTA built dual coil at 1.2 ohms on an M-16 Clone running an 18650 is awesome flavor, nic hit and cloud. I also started rebuilding the factory Bottom Dual Coils into a single coil at 1.3 ohms to run in my I-Clear X.1. (organic cotton wick.) Works great on the Mech Mods with 18650.
